Occlusion After Every Site Change

I always get an occlusion alarm after a site change. When I change the set after the occlusion, everything is fine. I never get a second occlusion. Why do I always get one after the first site change? It’s like I know I’ll 100% get an occlusion every time I change the set after 3 days.

Lipoatrophy & Insulin

I’ve had type 1 diabetes for 20 years. During that time, I never developed either lipohypertrophy or lipoatrophy. However, over the last four years, I have started to develop lipoatrophy in multiple places.
I’ve been using an insulin pump for a year and a half, and since starting pump therapy, I developed lipoatrophy on my thighs (this was the only area where I had previously developed lipoatrophy from insulin pens). More recently, I developed it on my abdomen, and it actually appeared after I stopped using that site.
I have a bad feeling that it will eventually develop elsewhere as well, since my thighs and abdomen are basically no longer usable because of it. Honestly, I don’t know what sites I should use. I don’t want to end up with these “holes” all over my skin.
I don't know if it's because of type of insulin or what. I’ve used various types of insulin over the past 20 years, and I only developed lipoatrophy with Fiasp and now Lyumjev. Before all of this happened, I didn’t even know lipoatrophy existed.

My question is: Do you think insulin could be causing this? I’ve used various types of insulin over the past 20 years, and I only developed lipoatrophy with Fiasp and now Lyumjev. Or do you think it isn’t related to the insulin? Before all of this happened, I didn’t even know lipoatrophy existed.

Unexplained late-night spikes

Has anyone experienced blood sugar spiking hours after dinner? It mostly happens around 8 pm–12 am. Even if my blood sugar is good or low after dinner, it starts spiking for no reason because I don’t eat anything at this time. No matter how big my correction is, it won’t go down. The numbers continuously spike and then slowly go down during the night. I’m so frustrated about this.

Heatwave Blood Sugar

How do you handle diabetes during the summer? My blood sugar is higher during this heatwave, and it seems like no amount of insulin can bring it down. It just stays high for hours, and it spikes after every meal, even if I’m low before eating. Insulin is literally like water these days. Help. :(

Occlusion

I changed my infusion set this morning before breakfast. Everything worked fine, then I ate lunch. My blood sugar was good and still is. Suddenly, about an hour and a half after lunch, I got an occlusion alarm out of nowhere.
It’s weird because my blood sugar is normal despite all the carbs I ate, so I don’t understand why I got an occlusion if everything seems to be working fine. I decided to ignore the alarm for now and see if it would keep working.
Has anyone else experienced this? I get occlusion alarms very often, almost after every site change, but they usually happen right after the pump delivers insulin, and then my blood sugar starts to rise. That’s why I don’t understand today’s situation.

Nights without CGM

Hey, how do you handle nights without a CGM? I either go low or end up high. I almost always wake up with higher blood sugar than when I have a CGM. Once, I woke up in the middle of the night with really low blood sugar, and other times I’m high. It’s really difficult without a CGM, and I don’t want to set alarms every night. I’d like to know—how do you deal with this?

Infusion sites

What sites do you prefer? I’m currently using my lower back/love handles and have been for quite some time because everywhere else I started getting occlusions or developed lipoatrophy/lipohypertrophy. My thighs are out of the question because of the aforementioned issues, although the lipoatrophy there is finally improving. I also have lipoatrophy on my abdomen, plus constant occlusions. I’ve recently started getting occlusions on my lower back as well. I honestly don’t know where to put it anymore.
