Not sure what variety at all, but the fig was yummy ive never grown a fig and im happy for this to be the first, it was agave/honey like and lightly floral and nice and soft although it was a little spicy which i thought was weird, maybe its the latex? Lmk if you know why. I might have been able to leave it on for another day but i got antsy and wanted to try
I recently found out home depot mislabeled my fig tree, some people thought it might be yellow long neck but i think the leaves are too small and shape of the fig is different, does anyone know enough to identify it, or is it safe to say its a kadota?
I noticed this is my first fig of mine that has started the swelling phase , this is a black mission fig in 9b florida, google said theres like 7-8 days before its ripe, is that true!? It sounds too good to be true, also an additional side question, im very interested in the strawberry verte fig, is this one you would recommend im super into the idea of its strawberry flavor and bright color contrast , although i do think it would be nice to find a third variety so i can have early mid and late season figs

I love my ottos so much but they seem to be struggling in my 15 gal. I have 6 otocinclus in my tank which have cleaned my tank of almost all algae/biofilm aggressively over time, i thought that they would be ok because they actually took very well to algae wafers and veggie supplements but recently theyve gone into hiding and i started to get worried (tank is heavily planted with many hiding spots) but i did a water change today and they came out for the first time in a bit and they looked very thin compared to the past, im not quite sure what to do from here as ive tried to increase algae, it doesnt really work, and im not really sure why their hiding. There is no ammonia/nitrite and nothing has changed in the tank since before they started hiding
A list of every tree i want rn (theres more i just couldnt think of them or justify adding them) i live in 9b florida and just want to be able to have abundance year round, right now majority of what we grow is doing great spring-fall but it could be soooo much more abundant and i cant wait to fulfill it. Anyone have these who wants to share any info about them that might be usefull?
I have 2 3 gallon tanks, i am very aware there are minimal stocking options however i know i want one of them to have cherry shrimp, but i dont want the other one to have the same as they are right next to echother, also i would rather not put a betta in a 3 gallon being that i have 3 bettas all in 5 and 15 gallon tanks, i really wanted a pair of gulf coast pygmy sunfish but their too difficult to source dispite being native. Other options could be a very tiny group of endlers?, pea puffer (doableish but i hear mixed reviews saying they perfer atleast 2 i dont think 2 would work ), or some other invertebrate im missing? Idrk, any suggestions? Thank you!
For background im 17 and my cardiologist suspects i have Orthostatic Hypotension, a type of dysautomia.i experience Daily dizziness/presyncope especially when standing/moving, extremely bad nausea/upset stomach/irregular bowl movements, lightheadedness, shakyness, irregular but painful heavy and long period, lots of swelling mainly in the hands and legs, very Fatigued, and often high stress.
• Starting around early may ive been getting super itchy very frequently with no sudden changes of surroundings or products
• Occasional dermatographia
• When i get itchy, i scratch it, then the scratch gets itchier creating a cycle
• I got hives on my chest and neck with an itchy throat june 10th after eating (the rustik oven hearty grains and seeds bread)
• June 13 my throat and mouth was noticably itchy while eating Camembert cheese
June 14 - drank coffee and my throat tingled a little bit, i drank about 1/4th of the cup before i was extremely shaky nauseous dizzy and weak (ive been itchy with dermatographia all day)(coffee has allways affected my stomach and caused lightheadedness and shakyness but this was extreme, and other sources of caffeine do not do this, decaf coffee still affects me )

I also have allways been sensitive to waxing, and soaps in the shower which give me hives and my only documented allergy is amoxicillin/penicillin which i had a severe reaction to.

While i dont know for sure what could cause this i do know dysautomia is closely related, and additionally i have lived in a house with black mold my entire life (fl humidity and an inability to move since im 17)
For context we got him in early march this year (last two pictures are the day we got him), he was listed as a male dumbo halfmoon at a petsupermarket and we took him for free, my question mainly comes from his size, he was small when we got him and hasnt grown nearly as fast as expected compared to my other koi halfmoon betta, is it possible he was just stunted from store conditions, just a slower grower, or just not male? Thank you!
After many small cuts on my thumb (low quality gloves/ dullish knives that came with my kit) and about a week of slow progress i managed to make a teddy bear! Hes not perfect and hes a little rough around the edges but i love that about him
My only concern is i started without looking into finishing oils/waxes so i didnt have any linseed oil or anything of that nature however i did have an extremely old bottle of weiman wood furniture polish lemon oil, so i used it, and hoped for the best. Now, to my knowledge this will not cure in the same way as linseed and was wondering if i could put linseed over it when i buy it. Also that stuff smells so strong that every time i touch it i smell it all day!
Anyways im pretty proud for my first project at 17 and i believe my next project will be a comfort bird!
