PETG TOP SURFACE LAYERS ISSUE

PETG TOP SURFACE LAYERS ISSUE

Hey guys, Im printing a part on my A1 using Bambu PETG Basic (Dried today) and a 0.6mm nozzle. The whole print turns out great up until the top surface layer(s). Most of the surface is a little rough, but still usable, but in this one corner in the photo it is super rough no matter what I do. Any suggestions? I'm currently print with 25% gyroid infill and 3-4 walls and surface layers. The printer is slowed down as well to help with the quality. The side shown in my photo is facing up on the print bed.

Measuring Chain Slack

So after owning two CRF Rallys (a 250 and 300), I finally read the owners manual recently on how to measure my chain slack correctly.

Mabe it is just me, but I had no idea the little slot in the chain guard is actually meant to help measure the slack! All that being said, I couldn't find a tiny ruler that worked for that spot, so I've started making/selling one specifically for our bikes. Just a PSA if anyone else would like one! https://stonemoto.ca/shop/p/chain-slack-ruler

Spill-Free Drain for CRF300’s

Hey guys!
Here’s a cool little product that I designed that is specifically for our bikes. It looks simple, but this oil drain funnel is able to unscrew the drain plug and catch it so that all the oil goes past your skid plate(s) without any kind of mess. It used to drive me crazy so I came up with a decent solution! I just started selling them here in case you guys want your own: https://stonemoto.ca/shop/p/spill-free-drain-funnels

Dirt Bike Number Plate

I recently bought an old 1977 Yamaha GT 80 bike and it was missing the front headlight. I ended up making this simple number plate to replace it with built-in mounts that zip ties can go through and hold it in place.

Freezer Basket Extension

I made an extension for the back of the wire basket in my freezer. Food and bags constantly fell behind the basket, making the door not close all the way. Dropping in a couple of these little pieces and ziptieing them to the back of the basket worked perfectly.

Vintage Yamaha 2 Stroke Seat Pan

Technically a bike part, not a car part, but close enough! I recently needed a 1975 Yamaha GT 80 seat pan because mine was all rusted out. After not finding any decent options, I decided to design one for 3D printing. This seat pan fits the GT 80's perfectly and is designed to fit onto a typical 3D printer bed, which is why the two halves are designed to bebolted together. I'm going to print the final design this weekend and see how it holds up!

Normal Tire Wear?

Hey guys, I’ve had a Motoz Tractionator Adventure Front tire on my bike since I bought it two years ago used. Do you know if this is normal wear or is something off? It’s hard to tell in the photos, but every other center knob is super short, almost flat with the rest of the tire. It seems odd but I’m not sure if it is normal or not.

Helmet Holder with Accessory Hook Design

If anyone else here is into 3D printing parts, I just finished designing and printing this helmet holder for my moto gear. It's a solid helmet holder that looks nice and also has a hook that can fit into the back of the piece or be taken off easily enough when not mounted to a wall. The black area that the helmet rests on has a bunch of holes through it to help with airflow.

Helmet Holder with Optional Accessory Hook

I just finished designing and printing this helmet holder for my Motorcycle gear. I have Bambu PLA Wood a try for the first time, and I think it turned out half decent. It's a solid helmet holder that looks nice and also has a hook that can fit into the back of the piece or be taken off easily enough when not mounted to a wall. The black area that the helmet rests on has a bunch of holes through it to help with airflow.
