First time working as a VA— culture shock yet thankful for my client
It’s just been 2 weeks since I started here in my current job (I’m a broker associate for an Australian client) and I can say na sobrang na-culture shock ako. For context, I came from a BPO company na grabe maka-micromanage.
Going back, some of the things na nanibago ako:
• walang time tracker, no login/logout din. I have a flexible schedule. basta pag active na ako sa Slack, my broker knows na online na ako.
• hawak mo oras mo if you want to take your lunch or breaks. jusko sa prev company ko, ultimo bio break is naka limit lang ng 10mins per day.
• I only work pag may inuutos or ipapa-assist broker ko. sa ngayon wala ako masyadong tasks. sobrang chill kaya nag’guilty ako pag di ako busy cause maybe the pay isn’t worth it.
I just want to know if normal ba yung walang masyadong tasks 🥲 though maybe because I’m still new, but I can’t wait to explore more side of Australian lending.
I also have a very sweet manager! grabe wala akong masabi haha. I’m just thankful na I landed a job like this. Btw I was hired through agency kaya kahit papaano I am still eligible sa stat benefits if ma’regular man ako but so far, so good 🥹

final pay processing/release - gaano ba katagal?
hello just curious, until when ba dapat i’release ang final pay? this is my first job thats why I don’t have any idea pa.
for context, here’s the timeline:
May 29 - last day
June 23 - HR confirmed that my clearance and report are cleared, mag wait na lang sa final pay computation
June 26 - followed up for my final pay computation, but they said I should wait (??)
June 30th na, almost one month na and wala pang update from them. I’m so pissed they can’t even give an accurate timeline. also ganon ba ka-tagal mag compute ng final pay? cause afaik, may ise’send pa sila na quitclaim. pero ayun nga, wala pa silang ma’provide na info as of now.
when can I cc Dole para naman asikasuhin nila? haays!

Statutory Benefits and Tax payment as a Virtual Assistant
hi guys, recently got hired as a VA in an Australian firm. since direct client, I am now responsible in handling my government contributions.
I have some questions:
- SSS, Philhealth, and Pagibig - how much do you
contribute? is it based on your declared income, or you opt to contribute in SSS more than the other 2?
*planning to get HMO kaya I’m thinking na minimum na lang sana sa Philhealth if pwede.
- how about taxes? can I file after some months? I’m testing the waters muna kasi if I’ll be stable at my job. if I’ll be filing months after, would there be issues?

Which is less difficult in securing tickets: ThaiTicketMajor or TixCraft?
anyone here who has tried watching concerts in Asia? specifically Thailand / Taiwan? saan mas less hassle makapag secure? sobrang anxious na namin ng mga friends ko if makakakuha kami ng BTS tix :( ayaw din naman naming mag TPA huhu. awa na lang talaga.
andd, wala na kaming hope sa Ph Stadium, haaay.

ThaiTicket vs Ticketmaster - can I secure tickets at the same time using multiple device?
help! so the BTS Arirang Asian leg tour has been announced. I’m planning to secure tix in Bangkok or Philippines. however, same sila ng selling date and almost the same time.
question is, can I secure using my laptop for ThaiTicket? while for my phone, it would be Ticketmaster. has anyone done this?
would appreciate any tips and advice, thank you!
