I made a free game inspired by Ape Escape, with a middle eastern flair

It's a free and short game but quite challenging! Play as Yousef, who's tired from all these mischievous Dhabbs stealing his belongings. It deliberately has counter-intuitive controls- which needs tuning. So I could use your help! Any feedback is appreciated <3

I made a free Ape Escape inspired game on itch, but I can't get people to try it!
I don't know what I am doing wrong. This was my first game and I'm proud of it but I thought I would at least get a few players. Any advice on how to market better, or general feedback on the game, would be greatly appreciated <3

Why aren't there many games like Ape Escape?
Trying to find games that have been inspired by Ape Escape, or had the gimmick of "capture mascot animals." And I couldn't find any except Astrobot, which seemingly had many devs that worked on Ape Escape.
It is confusing that there hasn't been teams trying to replicate the charming gimmicks. Especially considering how much the gaming industry loves to copy other successes. Was it too expensive, or maybe some copyrights concerns?
What do you guys think
