Fear of being outdated

Hello, I'm 25 years old and I feel so old and worthless. Sorry for this depressing post… I need to talk to some Catholic women…
Since around 2024, I've started feeling a lot of anxiety and pressure about being considered past my prime by men, afraid it will be too late to have a husband and a child, afraid of the biological clock, as some like to point out. I've never had a boyfriend. I hardly have any friends at all.

I'm afraid of reaching 30 and never having had any romantic contact or conversation with a man. As a teenager, I dreamed of Prince Charming and I was very romantic. But the more time passes, the more I realize that men either leave me indifferent or disgust me. I also get the impression that a lot of Catholic men are misogynists… On the internet, redpill and incel rhetoric is rampant, and I feel so inadequate. I'm sometimes envious of Catholic girls who are already married or engaged, who have found someone while I'm super shy around men and lack the confidence to talk to them. I'm fed up with the rhetoric from these "radtrads" who say that a woman is worthless if she doesn't have children or isn't married, if she wears pants, if she has passions and wants to talk about them…

I've recently become closer to Anglicanism and Lutheranism, which I find much more calming than the Catholic environment, which I find incredibly anxiety-inducing. It hurts me because I know that by doing this, I'm causing pain to Christ, but I so desperately need to get away from the church, from all my anxieties about hell, the fear of being judged by others, the fear of not being a perfect enough woman… I'm exhausted.

Could you please pray for me ? May God reward you fivefold. Thank you so much.

Very Catholic behavior (irony). I'm fed up

I'm fed up with incels and misogynists who convert to Catholicism but can't even apply basic principles like love, charity, and respect.

They insult women all the time, and men who don't fit their fantasized "cuck" ideal. The irony is, they then wonder why they're still single. They never question themselves.
That's why I'm afraid to talk to Catholic men, especially converts. You never know if you're going to run into some misogynistic jerk like that.

Regarding Princess Leonor of Spain, these photos were taken by a paparazzo without her consent while she was relaxing on the beach with fellow Navy personnel during a maritime tour (the Navy has few women, so it makes sense that she's one of the only ones in these pictures).
It breaks my heart because she was a 19-year-old girl who was doing nothing but swimming, and she's being called fat and a slut. This girl, who completed three years of full military service, who has had to live in the spotlight since she was little without having any say in her future, has far more courage and dignity than these cowards who spend their time insulting her from behind a screen.
I'm fed up. If she ever comes across these insults (they're also insulting her sister in the comments), she might try to end her life because of this constant harassment.

They talk about "locking in" a pious woman as soon as they find one, as if they were talking about a racehorse on which to bet everything. It's selfishness and manipulation.

I would like priests and fathers to raise awareness and educate their sons about these behaviors, telling them that women have value, that they should not be insulted, and that Christ should not be proud of them when he hears this.

A prayer that these fools will soften their hearts and act like true Catholics.

Can someone help me decipher this Anglican mass sheet ?

Hello ! I'd like to understand this Anglican service program. I'm a bit lost.

I'd like to attend my first Anglican service to experience it, but I don't know if it works the same way as in Catholic churches. Also, I love Anglican hymns from Westminster Abbey, for example, and I'd like to know if any can be found here. I've tried copying and pasting the first few words of what seems to be a hymn into Google, but I can't find anything…
What songs are listed on this sheet, please?

Could the song "Praise My Soul, King of Heaven" ever be sung on an another service for example ? Are there people in Paris who know this St Georges church and go there often ?

God bless you all ! 😊

My favorite potential lesbian/bi couple ! Rikki and Bella

A quick post to express my appreciation for this adorable scene between Bella and Rikki ! 🩷

This moment occurs in episode 3 of season 3, after Rikki has doubts about the café's band.

Bella manages to convince her, and at the end, she sings, dedicating her song to "one of her friends," without specifying which one. But we see afterward that it's meant for Rikki, with a hug and cute smiles exchanged during songs, like winks.
The lyrics "and I think about love, and think about you" at the end of the song, combined with Rikki's mischievous smile, Bella looks at her, pointing her gaze, fill me with joy and touch me deeply 🥰

Whether it's friendship or love, I find this relationship beautiful, and Bella seems to soften Rikki's rebellious side. Rikki is sometimes quite impulsive and has trouble trusting people, but Bella quickly wins her over and softens her.
I know many people aren't fans of Bella's character, but I find her sweet and refreshing. She's not a bad person at heart ; she's kind, empathetic, and sings incredibly well. A real mermaid’s voice ! She never creates drama ; she reminds me a bit of Cleo from season 1.

Like many, I would have loved for them all to reunite with Emma at the end. I always have a feeling of incompleteness, it makes me a little sad

My Chanel collection, past and present

Hey ! I'd like to talk about Chanel fragrances, which I've cherished since I was 13.

- Coco Mademoiselle EDT :
My very first "lady" perfume, which I got for Christmas when I was 13. The Chanel brand fascinated me. I pictured it as a very elegant, inaccessible, and mythical luxury brand. I discovered it while accompanying my mother to the perfume shop. My eyes were immediately drawn to this pretty pink, rectangular bottle. When I smelled it, it was a magnificent feeling…
The first time I'd ever smelled a real perfume, an elegant perfume suitable for all ages. I was captivated! When I unwrapped it at Christmas, it was magical; I felt like I was living a fairy tale with its beautiful, sleek, gold, glossy packaging. I felt rich, lol. Since then, I regularly buy the EDP, as it seems to last longer. But I think I'll go back to EDT, which remains similar.

- Chance Eau Tendre EDT :
Received on my 14th birthday. One of the greatest wonders my nose has ever smelled. It's a very special fragrance to me, as few people knew it, and it smelled of sweetness and carefree abandon. It's a unique scent that you don't find everywhere. I literally fell in love 🥰

- No. 19 Poudré :
I discovered it recently. At first, No. 19 surprised me quite a bit, as I wasn't used to smelling green perfumes at all. Like many, I was only sensitive to sweet and very floral scents. But at Sephora, I decided to spray it on my sweater to see if its scent would evolve differently. And I fell under its spell…
This perfume makes me feel like a nymph in a forest full of ferns and moss. Its scent is mysterious and woody. Galbanum has become one of my favorite notes. It's rare and unique. A pure masterpiece !
So I decided to buy one of the flankers of No. 19. I bought the poudré version on eBay because an elderly woman had mistaken it for the original and was reselling it for less. I don't regret my purchase ! 🌳🌿

- Chance Eau Fraîche EDT :
Recent purchase. I love its freshness and versatility, and it projects beautifully! I'm getting compliments. The iris note bothers me a little because I find it masks the woody and citrusy aspects somewhat, but it's still a lovely fragrance! The kind you wear in the summer when it's scorching hot 🍋

- No. 5 :
the famous, iconic fragrance from the house. I owned a refill edition with a large black spray bottle. Its scent reminds me of my grandmother, who wears it every day !
It's not the easiest vintage fragrance to wear in our modern society, but it develops beautifully on my skin, with the vanilla notes really coming through! I understand that some people don't like it, but personally, it evokes so many memories and comforts me. Unfortunately, its quality has declined considerably in recent years... what a shame. 🌺

- Allure EDP :
The Chanel perfume I have bad memories of, because I wore it during a period of bullying and harassment in middle school…
Although it has a beautiful, unique scent, I can no longer smell it without being reminded of it. Speaking of this perfume, I would like to emphasize how effective olfactory memory is 😖

There you have it ! I love putting words to how perfumes make me feel! I think we can all agree that Chanel perfumes are truly unique and legendary.
They're unlike any other. They're always elegant, never overpowering or heavy. Always subtle.
Chanel is the house I always return to. When I have the opportunity, I'd like to choose an exclusive fragrance. Comete and Sycomore are particularly tempting.

And you, what are your favorite Chanel perfumes ?

Tapage nocturne ?

Merci d’avance.

Happy Mother's Day ! Here is the true story of Elyon's biological mother

I can't help but think how badly the series portrayed Elyon's original story from the comics and her biological mother. 💔
A few comic spoil here, I'm warning you.

In season 2, her queen mother is only shown once, in a fake flashback generated by Nerissa disguised as a servant. She makes Elyon believe that her mother didn't love her and preferred Phobos. But the reality is quite different : Elyon's biological mother was sweet, kind, and comforting. Her name is Weira.

The kingdom of Meridian was held together by an exclusively female hereditary power, but Phobos, with his pride, seized power and broke this law when his parents died. There is also a vision of past queens who specify this rule.
Since his magical powers weren't strong enough, he wanted to take Elyon's with a fake coronation ceremony like in the series (except that Elyon found out in the meantime and used a double).
During the battle of Meridian, Elyon meets her biological mom in a kind of vision or resurrection. I find this truly beautiful, and the animated series should have emphasized it.

Because of this omission, those who haven't read the comics know nothing about Elyon's biological mother. It's sad and a shame. The mother is also a metaphor for light, the power of Elyon.
Look how beautiful and intricate it is ; it's a true work of art for the little girls and teenagers who read the comic. This scene makes me cry and touches me so deeply.

Honorable mention also goes to his adoptive mother, with some memories of her and Elyon during a drawing session. This also foreshadows Elyon's immense power. This scene is truly beautiful.
Elyon's two moms are the kind of moms every child should have 🥰 !
