We'll be in Bali from late December till second week of Jan.

My wife is keen on Canggu this time and we'll also stay in Uluwatu and Nusa Lembongan.

The question is, where should we stay for NYE. We're probably going to stay at Uluwatu towards the end of our trip so the option is do we spend NYE in Canggu or Nusa Lembongan? Our teenagers will be 15 and 16.

Which area would people stay?

Obviously Canggu will be hectic, but maybe that's more fun. So just not sure tbh.

Fellow GCers who are with Optus or Vodafone (or one of the 3rd parties using them).

How do you find the coverage in and around the GC?

I've had my Shark for about 2 months now, and installed a canopy.

I'm wondering if anyone with a canopy has installed a review mirror camera set up? Something like Wolfblox mirror dash cam that includes a wired rearview camera.

If so, how have you found it and how did you wire it up?

Hi we're in Bali for New Years. Family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Wondering where best to stay/be for New Years celebrations?

Are there any events or locations that a family friendly?

I'm now in the 'my eldest just got her learners' period of my life.

We've been considering a second hand Mazda/Honda/Toyota small size car (2, 3, Yaris, Corolla, Jazz) with a budget around $15k. Depending on the make/model this seems to put us in the 8 - 12 year range with KMs ranging from 80k - 160k. Better options roll up to 17k or 18k though.

But I was looking at the Chery Tiggo 4 for $24k drive away and I'm wondering if we're just better off forking out the extra 9k to buy new, get a 7yr warranty, capped servicing and roadside.

Personally, I grew up where your first car was a cheap bucket so to buy new for a first car isn't sitting with me well. But logically, buying take away a lot of the unknown's and minimise the risks, and I think over 10 years will probably be cheaper.

So keen to see if anyone else has done this as well and if my logic is right
