I made these steps out of an ash log to retrieve this crossarm with insulators!
Drilled them right into the pole and climbed up and got it! Im gonna clean the crossarm and coat with polyurethane when I get some

It has this weird flat spot on the one side. Was it in a fire at some point? Is this a production error?
Taking this pole out of the ground is not an option, neither is toppling it over. Should I use climbing rope or just climb a surrounding tree or the pole itself?
The spoon is stainless and the bottle is a yardleys perfume from the 40s. One of these days ill see of I can get that fastback operational
Some progess photos included. The majority of the cuts were made with a circular saw or spade bits, using a rasp and chisels to trim everything up. Took about 3.5 days of 5 hours with a total of a little under 20 hours. Definitely room for improvement but hope you guys like it!
This probably isn't what this sub was intended for, but I think you guys will enjoy this
Could definitely improve some things, but I hope you guys like this!

I found this in my buddy's garage and gave him a 10 dollar target gift card for this bracket and an old 30s soda bottle. As you can see, I managed to make it into something actually usable.

Found a hoe, shovel, and some other items of interest
This is the top of a transposition insulator (CD 191). best find in a while
Favorite is the top of that transposition insulator. The salt glazed thingamabob is cool too despite being broken.
Shame its a broken one. Would love to have one thats intact.
I would appreciate if you guys could help me put a value on this. Embossed "B" on the front has a tiny ding on the back (not pictured) but otherwise perfect. Last picture is all the finds for the day
