Sweet heroines and no alien mmc?

So i have a simple request, i’m looking for books with sweet and compassionate heroines. But i’m not a fan of alien mmc’s and fated mates, and so i ask for that not to be in the book. I also don’t like when a book takes place on a spaceship for the whole book. I like the idea of being on a different planet! I’d also like High spice, but not for it to be the entire plot. Thanks!

Requesting the Eleven skin🤭

First time requesting anything! But I’d really love to have the Eleven skin. Stranger things is one of my favorite shows, so i’d be so happy <3

Craving Sci-fi Books

I’m really tired of castles and fae books at the moment, and really need something different like some epic sci-fi books with a romantic subplot! i’ve tried asking on the r/ScienceFictionRomance sub, but i mostly get recommended alien smut, which i do not like. So i hope it’s okay to ask here.

I need books with a serious tone and atmosphere + good writing. And absolute none of that humorous witty banter stuff. It also doesn't need to be a space opera btw! Just apart of the sci-fi genre. Just please no alien smut, fated mates and insta love.

I’ll even take oldie books as well! I have Shards of Honor on my TBR!

EDIT: Thanks guys for the recs!

Gothic recs? or similar to Weavingshaw

First off i wanna say thank you to the people that recommended Weavingshaw!! i’m currently reading it and at 30% but really enjoying it!

It’s giving me gothic vibes and that’s what i’m craving now. I’ve been so tired of the constant fae trials and a princess in hiding books lol so Weavingshaw is really refreshing from that. And the slow burn romance part is reallyyy juicy, i’m loving that!

I’ll take YA, Adult, or anything! as long as the characters aren’t emotionally immature <3

I really wanted to like One Dark Window, but i dnf’ed it. Same with The Knight And The Moth

The love interest is unexpected?

You know those blurbs that are like: “Read about X and Y‘s forbidden romance!” That’s not my cup of tea. I just don’t like when the romantic pair is advertised/in the blurb…. I love when i read a book, and i start to notice some chemistry between the female lead and one of the male characters. That makes me excited! a romance with a character you wouldn’t have known. Because if it’s in the blurb, then there’s no shooketh-ness and surprise about the love interest lol.

Perhaps even a bait and switch trope, or even a love triangle. I know that trope isn’t well liked and i understand. But when it’s written well and not frustrating, i enjoy it a lot!

I enjoy YA, Adult, and NA. Love a romantic subplot too

Slow burn pls, and no fated mates. Thanks! <3

The Mask Of Mirrors question

Sooo i just finished reading The Mask Of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick, and i knew beforehand that it was a romance subplot sort of series. I enjoyed it, but it was way too long for me. And sometimes uninteresting (gave it 3 stars) it did feel more mature, and the writing was so much better than most books these days. But i really don’t think i can read another 600+ page book about this story. So anyway, i need someone to spoil who Ren ends up with lol. Cause if it’s Grey, i‘ll take my leave. he’s just boring to me, and that would be disappointing. The book was a good palate cleanser, but at this point i’m here for romance

Pre-apocalypse movies pls

Hi im looking for movies where instead of a post-apocalyptic movie, it's a pre-apocalypse.

The movie builds up to something strange happening globally, and it ends with the apocalypse finally taking place. the internet has been shut down or the power has been turned off. Maybe it's due to the government, creatures, aliens or whatever. Please recommend movies released through 2010-2026 only please.

The movies i've seen that has this:

  1. Pontypool
  2. Leave The World Behind
  3. Take Shelter (sort of)
  4. Melancholia
  5. Greenland
  6. A House Of Dynamite
  7. Cabin In The Woods

thanks <3

EDIT: Added some other movies i forgot i've seen. someone is downvoting all the comments 👀😂 and i don’t know why

I need a romantic subplot + good world building

I need some well written fantasy books with a slow burn romantic subplot pls! the books i've been reading lately (and dnfed lol) have all had the romances too overwhelming, and it's always the center of the plot. i don't like reading the blurb of a book and it mentions the romance between the two characters, along with a list of the tropes they will have. i don't even wanna know who the fmc love interest is until later or it's not immediately obvious. I need good world building, good writing and yearning! im desperate yall

  • no cozy
  • no fated mates
  • no annoying fmc
  • no satire/humorous writing

I love YA, Adult and New Adult <3

Fmc works for the mmc?

I’m really wanting something like the fmc is working for the mmc. she could be his spy, healer, or whatever else. And that whenever the fmc finishes a job, she has to go report back to him.

The only instances i found this in was {Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder} and i was obsesseddddd with it🤭 it has what i’m talking about

Slowwww burn pls. And maybe he is morally gray 🤭
I would also love if she was more soft/feminine and not the typical snarky type.

EDIT: thanks for the recs yall💅 !
