In love with this thing lately. Gotta highlight the lume.

Please do ignore the scratches on the bracelet, but they come with loving and using the watch a lot and having a very playful cat hahaha. I don't mind them personally, they're the signature of me having liked and worn something enough for my life to leave its impact on that watch, too.

Still missing the free sprung weights on it. But if it's truly double balance that's quite the achievement. I have some doubts about it working well since you usually need gen balance to achieve good timekeeping, otherwise the timekeeping on this will be unreliable and prone to issues due to how the fake one is designed.

But we will see once it hits market! DDF is doing some great things specially when we talk about Patek Philippe and they've become one of my favourite new factories. We'll see if they can cook on APs too.

Hello once again everyone! Just wanted to share a quick review of my recent experience ordering a **PPF 5712 v4 with an SW dial** upgrade from **Auratime**. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with this watch. It arrived a couple days ago, but lately I've been quite busy, so I couldn't adjust it and make a proper review until this weekend.

Auratime did a great job with the packaging. The watch was wrapped incredibly securely—bulletproof layers of bubble wrap and solid protection to make sure it survived the journey perfectly unscathed.

As a very nice bonus, they even included the pusher tool (you can see in the pics)in the package It’s a small, thoughtful detail, but it really shows they care about the customer experience and save you the hassle of finding something to adjust the complications. I had already bought one from Amazon expecting this wouldn't come for free, so this was a very pleasant surprise lol. He also included the stock PPF v4 dial in a separate secure box in case I ever need it.

Shipping was incredibly fast and efficient via Deutsche Post DHL. It took exactly **12 days** from the initial electronic notification to showing up at my door, so less than two weeks. That makes it the second fastest watch to ever arrive to me, and I have bought some already hahah.

The SW dial looks absolutely stunning on the PPF v4 base, as many of you know I had tried to buy this watch from another TD and had to RL it twice due to the dial indices being misaligned (very common mistake with PPF, specially on the 12, 9 and 3 markers as I mentioned in another post) and tired and worried of this repeating, decided to pull the trigger on an SW dial which is perfectly aligned and has a MUCH better colouring compared to gen (will make a post comparing the two and even some pics with gen, if you guys wish, theres some great posts on RWI covering this already) the movement is the most beautiful rep movement I've ever had the honor to lay eyes upon, the micro rotor is just so special and PPF has upgraded their finishing from what I've seen on older QCs. A reccomendation I make to you all: the pins are exactly the same as gen, which makes some of them hard to take out sometimes, I'm not sure if they also come with Loctite from the factory, but at some points I was worried I would damage them. I recommend using a pin pusher for doing it.

Auratime's service was top-tier from start to finish. Fast shipping, bulletproof packaging, and great attention to detail when asking questions about the watch itself (when and how to set the complications and doubts when going for SW dial, specially). If you're on the fence about placing an order with them, I highly recommend giving them a shot!

P.D: Let me know if you guys want to see some more wrist shots! I tried to get the SW dial under different angles and different lighting conditions to showcase all the color gradient.

Apparently Swiss Ronda, obviously doesn’t have the stop setting that the gen has, but the rear of the movement looks convincing.

This is a rep à la RM 67-02, as in it is made by a “custom” factory. People are quoting 2.000€ for it, but I'm not so sure. I don't exactly know which factory or modder is making these, but they sure do look good externally. I'll leave the pics here. There's an RWI thread about it for those interested too.

Will keep you guys updated on what I find, if you wish ask your TD of choice and see what you can figure out.

As many of you know I am a lover of all things Vacheron. It wasn't long ago when I visited the VC boutique to see the models I love in gen. There, I spotted this same watch and fell in love. Pictures of the gen were some of the first posts ever made on this subreddit. And when I saw a new factory called ANT had made the tourbillon with a lower thickness than BBSF had, I had to purchase it. I contacted TimeUltra asking about a comparison between the two, and went on RWI. Due to his help, I was able to decide for this one, and I'm immensely happy with it.

Some info I believe relevant, as I am as of the date of writing this the first person to have attempted this; ANT factory bracelet isn't the best, so many wondered about it being compatible with other bracelets.

I can confirm it fits both PPF and MKS factory Overseas bracelets (I have this one fitted with my 4500v Overseas bracelet right now) comfortably, with the quick strap change system. It also works with the rubber, but mine being blue makes it not fit too much with a red dial hahaha. Might buy a new one soon to accompany it. The dial is lovely specially when hit by direct light, but I must confess that as with all things Vacheron it isn't exactly as the gen. But hey, I knew that when I saw it in the QC already, I made my peace when I opened my wallet to pay hahahah.

As someone who often does QC for others, Time Ultra's QC is always great to see, it was an immediate GL.

For shipping times, this is the total overview:

1: Asked about the watch the first week of June, he told me one week to source it, ended up being 5 days. He sent me QC which I GLd on June 12th

3: Arrives in Germany June 19th

Adding to the already known about official photoshoot, two pictures about the movement courtesy of our TD Leo at TimeUltra, which confirm (see last picture where the wheel is visible)what we weren't sure of.

The movement has a free-sprung APPEARANCE, but is in fact just a VS/DD3235 with the regulator pins hidden. Making this a negligible upgrade, it's basically the same movement it always was. In my opinion probably for the best they keep this non free sprung, considering this is closed caseback, I prefer it not be freesprung for easier servicing if something stops working in the future.

The biggest change? The lume on the Roman numbers finally is present, which is correct with gen. This was corrected this week, so sorry for those of you who bought this model before this! At least it's fixed now.

No better day than new watch day. I'm a sucker for Vacheron Constantin, and I'm a sucker for DayDates, so when I saw our TD Andiot had this model I had wanted for a long time in his "In stock" page on his website I texted his WhatsApp faster than a Lamborghini to see if it was still in stock and no one had bought it before me.

This is the RGF, previously known as RCF, Rolex Daydate 40 "Mother of Pearl" dial in white gold. It is quite rare to find TDs having RGF in stock lately since they have slowed down production, and even more so with this not so popular(unfairly, in my opinion) dial configuration.

I ordered this watch around 2 and a half/3 weeks ago, in May 23rd, got QC in the 24th which I GLd , asked and paid for Deep Crystal installation which I think is a must on all non VSF made DayDate's (this was 53€ extra between crystal and installation)and got a second QC for these mods on the 28th, which was perfect as you can see in the pictures. Finally , he shipped it on June 1st , later than anticipated due to a raid in Chinese customs at the end of May, for which he was so kind to warn me via email and apologize profusely. The tracking was smooth, updating since it was in China until it arrived at my home. arriving here this morning of June 18. This hasn't been my first purchase with Andiot, but I knew it also won't be the last.

His website was great to navigate as many of you know, and his prices were fair, but I was particularly surprised at how well packaged the whole watch was, and as strange as this may sound the "Andiot" logo packaging gave it an extra sense of luxury.

The watch itself is exceptional, how the dial plays with light in different lighting conditions going from a pale white to an almost infinite number of colours due to the Mother of Pearl reminds me of some Grand Seiko dials, which I'm a fan of. The baguette diamond indices look is just stunning too, I didn't own any like this until now and it looks classier than I thought. Weight is exactly like gen at 207-210g, and the white gold is mesmerizing on the President bracelet.

All in all, a great purchase I don't regret even considering the price on these RCF DayDate's. Thanks again to our TD Andiot for his communication throughout the shipping and buying process and for the crystal installation having such a well updated stock website that allowed me to find this *pearl* of a watch, pun totally intended.

3KF Aquanaut 5167 just received the latest upgraded movement for Patek.

The movement has been upgraded from CAL.324 to the CAL.330, biggest difference being the 330 does have a hacking seconds function unlike the previous 330 clones we had on the market until now on models like the Nautilus 5711 and 5811 and of course the Aquanauts like this one, which had either the DD324, or the 330, the newer Patek movement since their announcement at Baselworld 2019 and beyond. A rep or that was released which had the correct 330 engravings but lacked the hacking seconds function gen has.

I hope other factories gain access to this movement too, otherwise there's always the Franken option.

What's your favourite formal events watch? This one (Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4500v blue dial) is my go-to. Will add some new ones soon, but no matter how many watches I own this has been the watch that got me into watches truly, and one that has great sentimental value.

We finally have the first ever factory made, free-sprung AP Royal Oak 15407 in the market, by a new factory called OCTA, and my friend IKE Watches has done a professional photoshoot of it. (There's 90+ pics, reddit just won't let me post more than 20)So big thanks to him for providing these along with some info. While many of you think that APSF raid was a surprise raid, for many involved this wasn't a surprise at all, and they were ready to bail and take things back from where they were once the dust settled. As such, OCTA factory is born, which will release many if not all products that APS used to make up until now. OCTA 15407, along with all their other catalog, is made by old APSF people and was developed by APS back then.

It comes in all variations including ceramic, which sadly I don't have pictures of. So basically the usual steel, the ceramic 15416, the "iced out" and different diamond/precious stones bezel.

My thoughts on this? The movement itself being free sprung is an amazing upgrade and it makes the dial a lot closer to gen as the previous balance wheel tell is no longer there. The bracelet looks good too for a factory made one. My biggest issue is the lower bezel gap still being present on the case, an issue THBF had and that DDF recently fixed. I wonder if it will be possible to use DDF case with this movement to have a cheap free sprung Openworked instead of having to go fully custom. I'm not gonna talk about the gold or diamond models since they're not my cup of tea, and generally are not the best quality to lower costs. But the steel one is a great leap in quality for those of us that love this. That said, for perfectionists or seasoned collectors, I would still recommend going custom if you wish to own the best Openworked.

I've been told the estimated price was around 3900 to 4200 CNY, that's approximately 530€ for my European bros and 580$ for my US followers.

TLDR for those too lazy to read my post: OCTA Factory comes from APS people, and this 15407 was originally designed by APSF. The 15407 here has a very good dial because it has a much better and closer to gen free sprung movement, but the Lower bezel gap tell is still very much present, something DDF and custom CNC options have fixed.

So I did what one must: his homework. I asked different TDs about it until I got sent this. Really great pics and very well explained, to the point text.

Its been a couple days since I posted AMIT's 15416 video and many of you have DM'd me or asked on posts about what exactly is the difference between the stock factory versions (THB v2, DDF) and the custom builds. This showcases many of them, hope you guys find it useful.

The first thing you notice is that unlike the factory versions, this one has 8 counterweights on the yellow wheel that is on the bottom left of the picture, it's a truly free sprung movement with a double balance wheel, exactly the same as gen. The golden balance wheel has the right gold colour tone, too. On other reps, the case back ends up being wrong due to this issue too, the movements just not the same. The movement not having counterweights and the wrong gold tone is the most obvious issue with factory reps of these models, and the most immediate tell, you need less than 1 second to see if it's a rep or not just by checking there. Always good to know the tells on your watches.

Next, the case is CNC'd, brushed and polished to gen specs to mimic the brushing on the bezel and bracelet and to take off the sharpness that stock factory AP bracelets have. If you've ever owned one, you know what I'm talking about. I'm in fact considering getting a rebrushed AP bracelet for my 15500 due to this.

Due to the case being CNC and the movement being custom, it has correct thickness and lacks the famous lower bezel gap that was a VERY famous tell on the stock reps of the 15407 by THBF. It seems DDF has corrected this recently in their latest release, but these other issues aren't addressed.

Lastly the gears have been hand polished to avoid reliability issues due to poor finishing further down the line.
