Writing a Book About Armenian Identity +++

Hi everyone! :)

I’m building an Instagram page around a book I’m writing on Armenian identity, diaspora, and inheritance.

The project brings together memoir, research, and interviews, and it focuses on questions around culture, belonging, generational inheritance, and what it means to navigate Armenian identity across different lived experiences.

I’m also a 5x scholarship winner, and writing has become one of the main ways I document and study these questions in a serious, personal way.

If this sounds interesting to you, I’d love for you to follow the page: @armenian.musings

I’m sharing project updates, excerpts, educational posts, BTS, reflections, research and commentary as I build the book.

If you have thoughts, family stories, or perspectives on Armenian identity and diaspora, I’d genuinely love to hear them!

Lipstick Color Help

Hi :)

Does anyone know a good dupe for the shade coquettish #30 in the Maybelline, New York Superstay Teddytint?

I absolutely love the color and I’m venturing out to wear more reds; the problem is the formula. It’s far too tacky for me and I just realized it when I was able to go home and properly apply a decent amount on my lips. My lips practically seal when I press them together and it’s really annoying, and I rather just go by another drugstore lipstick in the same exact shade, in a satin formula!

-
I tried looking online, but the only things that they’re referring me to would be L’Oreal’s perles lipsticks, which is not the vibe I’m going for

Looking for Armenian Editor or Publisher

Hello/Parev💚

My name is Athena and I’m a 26-year-old college student currently writing a book surrounding my diaspora experience, how living in America grants Armenians an unorthodox sense of freedom & how living between cultures can offer a perspective that encourages growth, curiosity, reflection and change.

I’m intentionally writing it to be relatable, humorous, lighthearted, and serious when the subject calls for it. I have so much love for our community, and genuinely hope it becomes a piece of literature that offers comfort, conversation, and healing.
I share intimate pieces from my life and family that I hope will bring people a sense of visibility; perhaps seeing them and their own family in my writing! While I am excited to continue writing, thinking of future publishing, I also have a deeply personal desire to publish within the Armenian community.

Please let me know!

Would love to make female friends :)

I’m curious if there’s any fellow 25+ year old women that are also looking for friends. Most of my friendships I’ve had that work well are people in their 30s.

I understand it can hard navigating female friendships let alone maintain them so i want to be transparent !

I’m Interested in:
-archery
-make up
-low tiding
-road trips
-religious studies (all and any)
-tea recipes

I’m not interested in:
-solely bonding over trauma
-always venting
-drugs
-hook up culture
-imbetterthan-isms
-indirect communication

Pls lmk!

How do you make friends?

I’m 25y female and in SoCal. I would love to make friends. I wanna have fun, do arts and crafts, do nature trips, low tide, take a dancing class, go to museums + but i feel like im a little lost on how to initiate friendships because it used to be out of convenience.

If you’re down to be friends lmk💗
