Anyone Else's Build Pages Just The Entire Item Catalog But Organized?

By organized I mean labels such as, "take this when sucking ass in lane early", "take this when getting shit on in jungles", my anti-heals are just, "anti-victor"

I'm still just learning the game and characters and currently on the night shift having to watch my cat and a foster to see if they can get along, so I'm re-vamping my build pages and I just love how much customization there is with something as simple as builds

I'm loving putting little reminders like the examples above

I love even just simply organizing all the disarms and silences, same as both spirit resist and bullet resist, as well as anti-spirit resist and anti-bullet resist

I'm unironically loving this and all I'm doing is organizing my builds LMAO

What a gem of a game, can't wait to put these builds to use and get shit on immediately and question absolutely every decision about my builds again

Needs Melee Tips and Help (and general survival tips)

So for context, I started playing this game quite a while ago, but really only played about thirty or so games, ending around alch/Oracle

I jumped up in rank very fast because I had an eternus player helping teach me the game, learned the basics before most, but now I feel very behind compared to my teammates and enemies. Simple things like knowing when to stay in lane and when to go farm camps and boxes, as well as move techs

I struggle with a few things:

  1. I can't seem to make melee work very successfully, Billy, Abrams, Paige, have been the ones I've felt most comfortable with so far

I can fake a heavy melee pretty well to get opportunities to not get parried, but I just can't survive for the life of me

  1. Which is my second issue, I seem to die A LOT. No matter what hero I'm playing, I'm going like 0-12-6 LMAO

Literally no idea how I'm even managing to win games, but the Eternus dude giving advice said it was okay how much I died, because I got a lot of value out of my deaths (solo taking towers as Seven during team fights)

Even though I die a lot, at least on Seven and wraith, I farm like a madman enough to keep up or even get ahead. But melee wise I feel absolutely useless in the mid to late game

And I am getting better at map awareness and leaving before trouble comes, but I feel like if I've actually seen anyone, I can't get away

I think I'm struggling with not knowing how to build appropriately too, but mid game everyone has way more health than I do, is that because I'm dying all the time?

Just trying to not feel like dead weight to the team

Low key hoping my new rank is very below alch and orc to start, cause even in quick play I'm getting demolished

Why Does DaD Have Valorant-Esk Pricing? (Red Stone Shards)

I'm talking about why is it $100+ to get one set of weapons skins? $10-25+ for a single race skin? $10-25+ just for a player ID banner. $10-25 for a single weapon skin. $100+ bundles

If anything, give a discount on Red Shards for anyone who actually bought the game. I can understand the pricing if the game was 100% free but it's not, this ain't Valorant, so why are the weapons skins in the game priced like it is?

This pricing structure is low key ridiculous IMO. Shit should be like half the price. I would be honestly shocked that anyone has bought anything if it wasn't for the fact that the peeps who do end up buying something have north of 5000+ hours and have held the line since the beginning

IDK call me crazy but they'd sell like 4x more by just lowering the prices for people with the legendary edition of the game. These people have supported you for years while going through all these legal troubles, time to give back a little

I'll give props where due though: a lot has been available to earn for free. But too much is locked behind some absolutely insane prices for it to just be brushed off for so long. $100+ should get you more than just one weapon set

Do you get stuff back from the Abyss?

Eh it's been a while, semi-returning player

If I remember correctly they made it so that you can get stuff back from the void right?

Does that include the new second layer of the goblin caves?

I was thinking of running my artifact arena kit to try this seasons new fire boss before the end of wipe

I'm I Cooked?

A 550 rating in arena, ques seem to be dead for solo/duo tonight too, waited over ten minutes twice. The duo I kept getting paired up with last night had a bunch of minimum rolls and while it was fun, I didn't win even a single round never mind match with them LMAO

I am not getting an arena banner this time around this seems haha

In Plain Sight: Paris. Where Am I Going Wrong?

I was going for both sniper assassin/in plain sight in one go. I'm very early into the game and don't have much mastery so I only have the one non-silenced sniper

Nabbed the boat key and tech crew fit/fire work detonator all in one go, took out the camera to be safe cause I thought that might've been the thing spotting me

Get the sniper from the shed, choke out the dude at the dock (making sure to not dump him), and then I even make sure to set off the fireworks when the two guards going around the helicopter are on the farthest side from me

Got both kills from the top of the stairs at the dock, within the ten seconds for sure (although a little messy, two shots to take out each), and left via the boat straight away. I got sniper assassin, but I did not get In Plain Sight. What am I doing wrong? They both require you to not be spotted as well as only killing the targets, so I'm genuinely a little lost as to what else I could do differently besides getting a silenced sniper maybe

I looked it up because I thought it may have been bugged, some people were saying you gotta take out the personal security guard but why would I if he didn't spot me? Shouldn't he not matter in that case?

The New Match Making And Why You're Getting Different Lobbies Now

I come from care bear land, and I can promise you one thing. Not all care bears are equally care bearish

The True Deep Care Bear/PvE lobbies: contain literally the most passive people to ever exist. I'm talking insanely low knocks, and insanely low raider damage. Knock to defib ratios are usually 1:100 or better, not shitting you. These people *refuse* to shoot back, they will share almost every container of loot. Doesn't matter if it was their own key room. These people trust damn near everyone That is where care bear land is, you'll maybe get a PvPer once in every ten games at most really, unless you're unlucky. This group will leave the lobby over fighting the aggressors

Where most, "friendlies" are: the low end of aggro mixed lobbies. You get a healthy mix here, but what a lot of them don't realize is that they are the aggressors in these lobbies. They will shoot to protect another (making them an aggressor), they shoot to protect themselves (which before the latest update would push them into aggro), most importantly: *some* of these players will shoot first when someone loots their kill/key room. That is being the aggressor, believe it or not, these people *absolutely do not* think that they should be in these lobbies, they think they are in care bear land but they are not. You still do not get a ton of PvPers in those lobbies, it's usually just friendlies making mistakes or becoming aggressors themselves. In these lobbies if you find a PvPer, they get hunted by the entire lobby, no questions asked. Those who hunt without getting shot themselves are seen at the aggressor by the games systems still. I'd say you get at least one aggressor in most of those matches but you're either: on the other side of the map, or they never had found an opportunity for a ratting kill so they didn't go for it. People who *genuinely* rat (old school meaning: avoids PvP at all costs, sneaks around, takes the scrap loot) also end up here because of their odd opportunistic kills. They actually kill *less* than a, "friendly" who will shoot to protect their own loot, which is why you see these groups switching lobbies back and forth

Where most hostile players are: the high end of aggro mixed lobbies. As a PvE player who shoots back to protect others, makes mistakes, whatever, you'll find yourself here every once in a while. You will *never* end up in the lobbies more hostile than this and if you do it'll be *extremely* obvious. These lobbies are *mostly* KOS, but because the odd friendly ends up here from the reasons above, you'll still get some organic friendly interactions. These often end up in death, fake friendly moments, PvPers grouping up to take on the rest of the lobby, etc. You'll know you're here because flairs will be going off semi consistently

Where the skilled PvPers/hackers are: these lobbies are literal war zones. Thank fuck I've only had the pleasure of seeing these with my own eyes only a handle full of times. Flairs going off so constantly that you can't even pin point where it's all coming from. Extremely KOS, if you don't KOS you're dead. Barricades everywhere, every fight starting with an inventory full of nades, everyone has a snaphook and lvl bobcat with full attachments. These players will be *SHOCKED* to see any friendly players

How do I have this experience as a PvE player you may ask?

I have played since October/November when the game first come out. I was in care bear lands so consistently that I ended up taking a break from the game, I crave getting shot at, but because I was not doing the shooting myself, I very rarely saw more hostile lobbies. I also used to shoot back and still do shoot back, literally all the time. It was not as punishing as people made it out to be, so much so that again, no one was really trying to aggress me anymore. Even shooting to protect someone, it was so rare that it just barely affected my aggro, I ended up in the low aggro lobbies (not care bear) when that happened by it would barely last a match or two people people are still quite relatively friendly

I came back when solo v squads got introduced, my goal was simple: to get shot at

I do what we call, "Rescue Raiding", I don't shoot first, get as many defibs as I can, sometimes just pulling Arc aggro so that teammates can save each other. Did it in solos too but upgraded to solo v squads because the very odd solo that would try to kill me, was no longer consistently successful, I needed a challenge and a fresh take on the game. Also in saying I don't shoot first, I will shoot to protect another team, which makes *me* the aggressor. I'm fine with this but it's an undeniable truth

During solo v squads I am very consistently in the low aggro lobbies, from my experience there are no full care bear lobbies for teams, only low aggro. At this point it's a little map dependent as well, if you go to Stella for example, you're likely to end up in the higher aggro lobbies where most teams will KOS. But how did I know it's not the highest aggro? Because people are literally *worse at the game* in these lobbies, they struggle with Arc and PvP alike, they won't util spam, they play like buffoons. These are the teams that you can actually compete against 1v3 even when shot first

Now unfortunately for them, I've won a few of those engagements. And unfortunately for me, that means the game thinks I'm some kind of god at the game, and puts me against the actual sweaty trios

There is *NOTHING* I can do against these people, my best bet is a charisma check and just praying that it's such a unique moment for them that they let me live. I usually try to latch onto a team in these lobbies, I'll feign fear, "pls protect me, I'll defib the whole team if you all go down"

TLDR: you're not in care bear lobbies because you're the aggressor somehow

Also just the fact that the game went from 400k+ people to like closer to 50k, you're simply just mathematically bound to get more mixed lobbies as they want to keep que times somewhat low and they'll expand the match making the longer you have to wait

Edit: sorry didn't realize it had been decades since half of you have read a paragraph let alone a book. I'd make it short but then you wouldn't get the substance nor meaning, not that you can read anyways apparently lmao. Way to out yourselves lol

The New Mode That The Chinese Servers Are Gonna Get Actually Look Like A Good Idea

Not even sure where I heard this so definitely feel free to correct any misinformation

But I heard that the Chinese are not getting quite a Care Bear (apparently can't say P-v-E here? 😂) mode, but like a, "everyone starts on the same team that they can defect from" mode. Which I don't know about y'all but that sounds genuinely pretty fun to me lmao

Just seems like an actual good idea for both sides, let me explain:

For P-v-E Players: they get the knowledge that someone has defected, might be frustrating when they defect right in front of you but it still keeps those organic and fun moments without gating them into their own community/basically completely removing the tension from the game

For PvP Players: they get a lobby full of the least expecting lil fruity tooties ever that will expect people to help/save them and they could probably easily wipe the lobby, which actually does serve the purpose of getting into, "friendly" lobbies without having to cheese the match making to do so. You're just gonna be on hard mode, which I think you should mentally be locked into anyways if you're trying to wipe full lobbies. Although I will say that the red light will take away from the chaos of those moments, it'll take away opportunities to gaslight, you won't see people giving aggressors second chances without the whole lobby lighting them up right after

For context, I have been adamantly against a full on P-v-E mode and still am. I am currently in the mixed lobbies and that's where I like it most. I genuinely crave being shot at. The only reason why I've ever been against a full P-v-E mode and possibly even this new node that they're thinking of, is that it could very easily make the main game lobbies even more hostile then they are currently becoming

I've also been against any kind of bounty system that would work across multiple raids, this kinda adds one that is specific to the raid you're in which I think is cool

I don't know, I think they actually cooked with that idea and I'm curious as to what other opinions of the mode will be, especially when it actually comes out

Getcha Ya New Defib Club Flairs' Ere

^ Made a post flair for these types of posts as well ^

The new official milestones are: 100-250-500-750-1k-2.5k-5k-10k, as per the poll: https://www.reddit.com/r/RescueRaiders/s/SUYyrndKle

It was genuinely very close and I'm definitely not opposed to another vote down the line to possibly add a few more like the "first 50"-150-200-2000. Let us know how you're feeling about the new milestones/which others you would've liked to have seen if any, or if you're happy with the results

Feel free to post a pic here or even make a new post for your updated flairs

Been an absolute pleasure to see the work y'all put in

The Solo v Squad Rescue Ranger and my Karmatic Prize

For context: ever since solo v squads came out, I've been in those lobbies nearly exclusively. Y'all are too good in solos to the point where I can't even make it to the down player before another shows up with a defib haha. I also love getting shot at but won't shoot first, so solo v squads has been a blessing. Plus I got pretty good at shaking off one aggressor, I figure the challenge of two or more would be fun and it has been

Before this moment, I had gone into Stella solo v squads for about six or seven raids in a row, getting KOS'd as one does on Stella, trying to defib where I can. Sadly got none this day, I died so much that I thought I ended up in a friendly lobby this time around. Twas dam during a thunderstorm (cinematic af btw)

So what happened: Went to chase down a flair who got downed to a bombardier, found the body too late, trio followed me and went to fight the bombardier nearby, or so I thought. Proceeds to shoot me in the back while I tried to loot a courier and while another one of them looted the body I didn't get to in time. My tactical smoke Aug triggers, I throw some extra smokes and tag grenades off and went to WORK

The mess on the right is the fight, every single one of them got a shot off on me first and they still lost 😂 I was gonna go back and defib them but the Arc were everywhere and they honestly didn't deserve it LOL, went down at extract to all the Arc and not being able to heal after the fight. Another trio rolls up and defibs me on my way home. I debated going back again but nah. Get 1v3 shat on even while trying to shot a friendly in the back while deep in the loot. That one felt GREAT after not being able to fight back all night

Time stamps: they shoot me at 8:18

I retaliate from 8:55-9:09

And then low and behold, the *very* next raid, I find my first ever defib BP, I have never done an expedition so this was truly my first ever defib BP. Never had such a great night in the rust belt

And for the inevitable, "they were ass", yes, yes they were. So ass that one of their weapons of choice to attempt my assassination was a hullcracker LMAO. The good trios in Stella stomped me, hard to catch even a single kill when letting trios shoot you first but it can be done!

Also thank you to the trio who defibbed a rambling ol' man whose knees had given out at extract after a hard fought battle, you will not be forgotten

EmBark Has The Chance To Do A Hilarious Thing

Please lock all the cheaters/hackers into the same lobbies completely separate from the rest of us like the good ol' days of gaming

By far the most enjoyable that the regular dungeons ever are, player count dips as soon as it's gone, make it last longer and actually incentivize the play style by making workshops 10x more affordable instead of making it such a stupid grind that absolutely no one will experience the actual benefit of them because using the market will be infinitely cheaper and will happen right away anyways. Plus crafting and questing are more reasonable then ever. Maybe open the market in increments, put gems and hunting/quest loot on the market after the first two weeks, open market fully after the first month, helps first catch up on quests and then gear later in wipe when it matters more

The fact we only ever get a week or two of SSF should be considered criminal. As a casual player you barely get a chance to experience it every single wipe

I also think SSF gear should have more of a chance to be returned by the goblin merchant to further incentivize it over market gear
