What am I doing wrong with my automatic threader?

I'm following the manual instructions but the automatic threader won't pull the thread through the needle

Cat growls and won't release while playing with string

My cat really likes playing with strings, but he will eat them if left unattended, so we don't play with strings very often. However, lately, when I do use a string or shoelace similar to a wand toy, he'll catch the string in his teeth and refuse to let go and he'll start growling with dilated pupils. So I'll sit there with him for a few minutes until he loosens his grip and I can tug it away from him and then I'll put the string away and he goes back to his normal sweet demeanor. Should I be concerned? Should we not play with strings anymore?

Received a used piece of fabric from Amazon

Looks like someone finished their project, returned the fabric for a refund and I was on the receiving end of it. It did crack me up that they didn't use a corner. As I was opening it up, I thought to myself that I accidentally ordered a poncho.

Juki sewing machine

I'd love to know if this is the right sub for this.

I'm getting into sewing and have heard Juki is a great sewing machine brand. Does anyone have experience purchasing sewing supplies/machines while visiting Japan?

Is there a fabric district in Tokyo?
