[Chopard LUC 1860] Best Salmon Dial?

Like many of you, my collection is rich in a mix of black, blue, and white/silver dial pieces. I’ve been eyeing salmon dials for awhile and was aiming for something with quality guilloche. (Patek salmon dials are amazing with rich pink hues but often don’t have guilloche)

The Chopard LUC 1860 in salmon, which was recently discontinued in favor of the blue model, caught my eye and I was able to pull the trigger on a new/unworn model with a trusted dealer reasonably below Chrono24 market prices. I even watched the Man of the Hour episode on Chopard to hype myself up about the brand and their approach with their LUC line in particular.

Beyond the dial, I love the ultra-thin, micro-rotor movement, and 65-hour power reserve. Also the lucent steel has a unique look - will be curious to see how it holds up against scratches.

Excited to add this to my dress watch collection and get it in rotation.

My First Omega: 2201.50

For a year I’ve been trying to figure out where to start my Omega journey. Many folks seem to start with the Speedmaster, but I already have a couple chronographs. I then looked at the Aqua Terra, but I have dress watches, and wasn’t sure how much I’d wear it. And most of the recent Seamasters Divers and Planet Oceans are reasonably big and probably would look ridiculous on my wrist.

This community helped me spot the OG Planet Ocean (2201.50) which has some nice callbacks to the vintage Omega divers and a surprisingly short lug to lug that would work well on my wrist. I also appreciate a diver a bit more unique than a Rolex Submariner (and I already have a black Rolex GMT which has a similar look).

[SOTC] First Collection Post

My first time posting the full watch collection. Started with the Rolex GMT II that I purchased through an AD and built from there. I leaned heavily to Rolex at the beginning and recently I’ve been focused on brand and visual/style diversity. I also have a slight bias towards discontinued or limited production pieces. I have Cartier, Patek, Moser, Parmigiani, and (someday) FPJ on the wishlist.

Shoutout to the variety of trusted dealers like MyWatch LLC, TNS Diamonds, SD Watches, Kara’s Watches, Exquisite Timepieces, and OC Watch Guy among others who’ve helped me get to this point. All have been top notch.

Club Sport Worldtimer Trace

My first and only Nomos. This was incredibly hard to track down, but finally got one. I live in the US and had to get it from a private seller in the UK. Regardless, super happy to have it on my wrist!
