I’ve posted here before but I have a few questions I want to see if anybody has experience or insight on? My wife is about to start at the DLI and as the time gets closer, I’m wondering when did other wives/spouses start packing up and planning the move? I know I have to wait until after she phases out so is it just a speed run once we get word?
And does she put us on the waitlist for housing when she gets there? How does that work?
I’m going to be moving from Florida so it’ll be a long trip. Is this something the military with reimburse me for? like all the moving costs
and I have a dog, but from what i see dogs are allowed? she’s 40 pounds catahoula mix

My wife is in the army and set to start at the DLI october 19th. She did ARMS first and is just starting the process of moving over to basic. She’s at fort jackson, and apparently there’s a bunch of delays with moving people to basic.

So long story short, by the time they move her, she won’t graduate until after her scheduled start date at the DLI. Is this potentially career changing? Would they re class her to a different mos and not go to the DLI all together? Does it not matter and change as she starts each program? She’s super freaked out about it because she was actually really excited so she has sent me out to get more info, if anyone has any insight, please!

Tomorrow is my start day I’ve decided! I’ve tried before in the past but have not been able to make it past a week. I was also working in the service industry where 75 hard is just not something we would do lol! Now, I’m kind of a stay at home wife and part time as a property assistant and my wife is in Basic Training for the army right now! So I figured I’d get in shape with her! It’s the best time to do it for me because my wife is away and there are not a lot of distractions and this will keep me busy until we move! So I’m excited and happy I found this page!

Hi everyone! My wife literally just shipped out for the army this morning! We’re 23 and 24 (both women) and I am so scared for these next few months! She is doing the ARMS program first and then going to basic depending on when she is within requirements at ARMS. So she’s going to be gone awhile. I just graduated with my bachelors and have decided to live with my parents to save money and pay off debt until she is moved to her next stop, the DLI, and I am able to move with her.

I’m struggling to find a job within my degree and told myself I wouldn’t go back to serving. I know finding an entry level career job when I won’t be there for even a year is kind of silly but I’m so eager to get my foot in the door, I don’t want the gap in my resume. I’m just scared of everything. I have a big trip coming up where I’ll be gone for 2 weeks and I just know after the rush of that, it’s all going to hit me.

I’m afraid I’ll just come crashing down. We’ve been together for almost 5 years and haven’t gone more than 2 weeks apart. I know I’ll eventually get used to it and it’ll get better but if anyone has any advice for the awful beginning I’m begging!!!

In the shortest version there is, a group member deleted my part of a paper and replaced it with AI. I’m not sure what to do, I know the obvious answer of talking to him and putting my part back in but the paper is due tonight. He worked on it for the first time yesterday and I went into it today to check it and it’s all replaced (along with 2 of my other group members parts). It seemed suspicious because he sent a message that he was just now getting to it and then 30 minutes later had the whole paper done (10+ page psych literature review). I ran it through an AI checker and it’s basically the whole thing.

I’m graduating this semester and it’s literally my last class, as bad as it sounds, I’m leaning toward not saying anything and if the professor catches it, I have my original writing saved and messages for proof that I had no part.
