Women moving to saudi

Women who moved from western countries to the kingdom: What challenges did you face? Do you feel like you have the same rights?

Context: I want to move there with my husband but many people are discouraging me but only have views from western mainstream media not life experience there.

Conflicting dreams for the future

TLDR: I'm a nurse pursuing medicine and I should receive an offer in January. My husband has to return to his home country for 3 years and if I'm studying I cannot go with him. If I pursue medicine I would have to continue living with my islamophobic family.

Some context first: Me and my husband are both 20. I'm a revert and my husband and I had our nikah earlier this year without my parents knowledge as they do not support islam and would kick me out if they knew I was muslim. They think my husband is my 'boyfriend' and he either stays at our place or I go and stay in his apartment so we pretty much live together across the two houses.

The issue is I'm graduating nursing school this year and it has always been my dream to study medicine. It has also been my dream to have a family of my own partially because my own relationship with my family is so bad. My husband and I plan on moving this home country when he goes back as he is an international student. He has two years on his degree left then he must be there for three years.

My issue is should I just remain a nurse so that I can go with him and leave my family behind? Or should I stay and pursue education then join him later? We would be able to see each other for a few months of the year when we visit each other.

Freezer Meal Prep

Need a bunch of different ideas for freezer meal prep. I know all the normal ones (soup, curry, lasagne) looking for something different I can do. One of my friends has sustained a massive injury and won't be able to cook for a few months hoping to come up with some good options to help her out!!

Leather Wallet

Looking for suggestions for leather wallets. I've been having a look around but it's difficult to tell the quality of pieces online. I'm wanting genuine leather long lasting one, preferably Australian made and I would like it to have one of those clear spots for a photo. Any suggestions?

Help me decide what veil to use

My dress is very simple but I am deciding what veil to get. I will either use a traditional one or make one like the butterfly one. I'm planning it on pinning it to my hijab for photos. Opinions please!!

Marriage in Saudi

I'm an Australian citizen and my husband is from Saudi. He wants to move back to Saudi next year. From what I read it is very difficult for foreigners to get married in Saudi. He is 21 and I am 20, can anyone give more details on the process. We are both muslims but I was born and raised in Australia.

Cocktail/blacktie dresses

I'm a recent convert and I have a bunch of black tie/cocktail dresses that I love but they're either sleeveless or strapless. I've tried putting on an undershirt but it looks tacky. Any suggestions for what I can use to cover my arms that looks nicer. Or even any brands that have cute modest colourful dresses I have a spring wedding to go to soon!!

Cultural Struggles

I have converted to Islam in the last few months. I am 20 and still live with my parents and I'm of mixed descent. My mother is from China and at the moment we've had a lot of struggles around my change in religion. For my mother the most important thing to her has always been dinner as a family. She continues to cook cultural dishes every night, many of which contain pork, etc. It has hurt her so much that I refuse her food even though I have explained my reasons. She is not religious so does not understand why I have changed and is very set in her ways. My father is racist and islamophobic so I cannot ask him for help. I feel so guilty to upset my mother when she puts so much effort in trying to keep her culture alive while living in a western country. I don't know what to do

I don't know what to do

My fiance is under the impression I am a virgin. I was raped as a teenager and I have never been able to tell anyone, not even my parents. I feel guilty not telling him and I don't know what to do.
