I'm sorry... but Mary is a terrible person

What kind of person puts pressure on a loser like Justin that they've dated for a few months to have a kid with them? Mary was the first real girlfriend he'd ever had. She knew he could get a loser like him to do whatever she wanted. For her to make that kind of ultimatum on him is pretty evil IMO.

Great Experience Flying First Time with a Toddler PHX to SFO

I know there are tons of people who shit on Frontier on this sub, but I want to give an actual good story. First time flying with a 7 month infant there was a ton of anxiety. Prices to fly were so cheap I bought my infant her own seat, that combined with one of the days we were flying was a Tuesday kids fly free day.

Everyone from start to finish helped walk us through our most stressful day of flying ever. The pilots walking on board with their coffee, stopped and said hello to our baby. Once on board, the flight attendants did everything they could to make us and our child at ease. One came over and gave us wings, another came over with a trading card of the otter on the tail of the plane. Another came over with another trading card from Christmas. We got asked if we needed water twice. Flight left and came in on time.

Overall, we could not have asked for a better 1st time toddler experience. Thanks to all the Frontier crew and staff for making us feel welcome and safe.

FHR review of Global Ambassador Scottsdale, Arizona

After watching the Global Ambassador be built, I was pleased to finally find a date to stay here. With the 1st quarter $300 resy credit coming to an end, I found a date in July that would almost cover by stay. $300 in taxes and another $50 in resort fees.

Check-In: Check in was flawless. Checked in around 2:00pm on a Sunday and was immediately greeted with the kind of hospitality you'd expect. Welcome drink and waters were offered. Bellman helped bring bags to room and explained the property. Amenities of booking with Amex were explained. 10/10.

Room: Room was upgraded to its next level, but I didn't see a major difference. King bed, nice bathroom, perfect bedding and huge T.V.

Minibar with whatever mixers or liquor was offered. Also had items to mix drinks which I thought was nice. Minibar is not sensor activated so you can move items around to keep other things cool. Bellman offered and then brought up Ice.

Bedding was fratte and super comfortable. Only thing is, some of the rooms finishings were starting to "go". But nothing that impacted the stay. Balcony was just doors that opened, not one you can sit on.

Bathroom was nice. Separate area for toilet. Double vanity. The shower could have been better. Though the water pressure was good, thought other hotels I've stayed in had a better layout with a handheld as well as a shower head.

Overall an 8/10.

Pool and Location: Pool was a bit underwhelming. A restaurant and bar was attached to it. Service was immediate when you entered. Attendant made up free day bed with shade and towel.

Pool was a "pool" nothing more nothing less. The pool itself lacked any afternoon shade, so it's all exposed to the sun. Def good for the fall, winter and spring, not so good for the dead of summer.

Location is great right on Camelback and 44th. Though not walking distance to night life in Scottsdale, the area does offer the most popular restaurants in Phoenix. Steak 44, The Henry and Buck and Ryder are all in walking distance. Note there is an AJ's high end grocery store across the street in case you need a place to get snacks and drinks not on property. Another 8/10.

On Site dining: The $100 credit could be used at Le Ame the high end restaurant, the rood top Mediterranean sport, or the pool lunch spot. We liked Le Ame so used it there again. The service and food was incredible. We were able to get two drinks, an app, steak, three sides and desert which came to $180. Taking off the credit and adding tip, we went $120 out of pocket. Well wroth it.

For the morning we ate at "Le Market" which is open for breakfast and lunch. Food was awesome. Wife and I each got an entre and took a pastry to go. Rand up to $52 and put the rest of the $60 credit to tip.

10/10 for food on site

Parking: Plenty of on-site parking. $25 self or $35 valet. We valeted and everyone was super nice. They have a texting system, so you can request your car when you leave your room and the car is back upon arrival. Tipped $5 every time they brought us the car and they were more than happy with it.

8/10 as I thought for that area, charging that much to park is a big excessive.

Overall: 88 out of 100

This is definitely a spot to be seen. Food on site is always amazing. Service was as good as I could have ever received. But knowing how much rooms go for in-season $1-2k a night I cannot say that's anywhere near worth it.

I'm glad I checked this place out, but unless I have another "lose it or lose it" credit, I can't see myself staying there. But always enjoy having dinner on-site.

Interesting Resy Credit Data Point for Hotel Stay at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort

Wife had a hotel stay for a conference totaling $650 at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

Resy lists "The Flying V at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort" as a restaurant the dining credit is eligible at.

Despite not charging any food to room or eating at the Flying V, upon two days after checking out $100 dining credit came off for this quarter.

Also note, someone in our party said her $50 gold dining credit came off at the hotel lobby bar.

Anyone else find FanDuel TV Much more enjoyable without the commentary?

I actually find the lack of in studio hosts much more enjoyable. They cut it in at the right times to get the track announcers updating changes and what not, but not listening to Simon Bray hand out his 50th straight loser is kind of refreshing.

Is not having a current driver as a F1 reserve driver a significant loss for IndyCar?

As a fan of both sports, it was always fun to see Pato drive during FP1 at F1 events. It was also interesting to hear the F1 commentators discuss Pato's season and IndyCar a bit. I know with Fp1 having the smallest set of eyes balls, but it seemed like a good way to get some crossover from the F1 circuit. Would always see some chatter on F1 subs too about Indy when Pato drove.

For those in Arizona, interesting use of $100 dining credit at Jamie's Bottle Shop in Scottsdale

Went to Jamie's Bottle Shop in old town Scottsdale a few weeks ago to use my $100 "dining" credit. Place is a mix between a wine bar and a wine bottle shop. Wife and I got a flight of wine,. a sandwich and a small plate for around $45 and used the rest of the credit on some interesting bottles. P.O.S. system to ring up food was the same to ring up bottles. A good way to score 3-4 bottles of some interesting wines with the credit.

Thoughts on Fox's "All In" IndyCar series?

Just finished the Indy 500 episode and I must say this series has been great. IMO better than the 100 Days to Indy, and right up there with Drive to Survive which was a huge miss this season. Seems to just want to tell the story of the drivers and teams instead on sensationalizing things.

Thoughts on Colton Herta's first F1 practice session?

Herta took the wheel of Sergio Perez’s Cadillac for FP1 in Barcelona, completing a 27-lap program that left him 21st in the field, three places behind teammate Valtteri Bottas. He was almost 2 seconds behind Valtteri and almost half a second behind Stroll.

Obviously he's not going to push Perez's car, especially knowing Caddy has it going in the right direction.

Just curious to know everyone's thoughts on Herta's FP1 session and his overall Formula 2 campaign which has had mixed results.
