Phantom Rogue 425

Phantom Rogue 425

We recently bought a Phantom Rogue 425 RSIB grill.it came with the multipurpose warming rack instead of the wire rack.

My grandson wanted to grill for us while he's here, and grilled some pineapple slices covered in BBQ sauce on the rack. I'm unable to get the residue off the rack.

Next attempt will be to soak it in a sink full of hot, soapy water, but trying to wash it accomplished nothing.

Any suggestions?

Spoo with...abdominal noises.

My 2 year old Spoo, Frank started having loud and unusual (for him) abdominal noises...like gas moving through his system. He pooped pretty well today, (5 times during the day) and while the last time was pretty soft, that's not really too unusual for him. (I added some Bernie's to his kibble to try to firm things up...he hasn't touched it)

None of the obvious signs of GDV, no restlessness or obvious discomfort, no attempting to vomit or unproductive pooping, just the stomach grumbling. No unusual foods today. (or none that we're aware of)

We live in the outskirts of BFE, the closest emergency vet is 2 hours away...IF they're accepting patients, which all too often, none are...they're swamped. The earliest I can get him into a vet will be Monday. I've given him one 20mg famotidine to try to calm his stomach. Not sure if it will help.

Picked up a Makita 3620 plunge router today

First Makita tool in forever. I own...or have owned most of the other "major" tool brands over the years, have used Makita tools a few times, but never owned any.

This was a $25 garage sale find. Came with the wrenches and some unidentified bit...maybe a round-over bit. No guide or collet beyond what's in it now. (not sure if it's 1/4 or 3/8...didn't know they even still made 3/8' bits)

I've downloaded the manual, but I suspect this thing is going to need some basic maintenance...cleaning and lubrication. The plunge feels...gritty.

Got a free key fob!

When I bought my 2025 Lightning Lariat, the local dealer sourced it from a different dealership…who sent it with only one key fob. The local folks kept trying to get the second one from the original dealership…nope…so they ordered one for me. Got that one about a month ago…yesterday, a package arrived in the mail…ANOTHER key fob…all programmed to my truck. Not sure if this one is the one from the other dealership or what…but now I have 3.

Before I jump into routing...

I like my fingers. They've served me well for more than 70 years, so I'd kind of like to keep them intact.

I have a 10:" Dewalt table saw that came with the plastic push stick. Works pretty well...but I've managed to nick it a couple of times over the 10 or so years I've had the saw. (better the push stick than my fingers...am I right?)

Replacements aren't expensive...less than $10 from Amazon, but I doubt it's gonna work well for use with a router table. Looking at Amazon, there are a butt-load (an actual unit of measurement...look it up) of different types and from different manufacturers. Milescraft and Microjig seem to be the "best" of the lot...but <holy crap> Microjig must make theirs out of gold. The prices for their better units are fckn crazy.

Recommendations? I'm old, live on a tight fixed income, so I don't really want to spend a lot...but I also try not to scrimp on safety.

First long drive in the truck today. Had to go to Tacoma, about 100 miles each way. Averaged about 2.5mi/kW.

First thing, just a few miles outside of Olympia, I got a notice on the dash..."Hands free now enabled" or something to that effect, and the hands free icon illuminated. Da fuq? I knew the truck was blue cruise enabled, but I've never turned it on...or so I thought. Turns out, I finally drove into one of the "blue zones" where blue cruise actually works. Once I got used to it...it wasn't too bad. Kind of "wiggly" as it maintained its place between the lines, but overall, decent. Disengaged itself at about the same place on the way home.

Next...and this one is irritating. Somehow, I managed to turn off the usual "speedometer" display in the dash, and now have the split screen with the speedo on the right side and the electric info "circle" on the left. I MUCH prefer having the speedometer info in the center and the charge info in small text on the left...how do I fix this? At the same time, I lost the ability to have the "calm screen" in place of the menu I attempt to enable calm screen, back out, click "My View" and it wants me to choose what I want for my view. WTF?

Having watched quite a few of Tom Moloughney's videos, I know that, much like auto repair, torque recommendations for the various connectors are important.

I recently had an Emporia Classic charger installed by a local licensed electrician. When I asked him about torqueing the connectors, he told me that (a) Emporia didn't mention any torque specs in the installation guide, so he just used the "old German method" of "gutentite."

Sure enough, when I checked, there is NOTHING about torqueing the wire connectors.

https://link.emporiaenergy.com/installation-guides/c1?\_gl=1\*fffkae\*\_gcl\_aw\*R0NMLjE3NzcyNzc3NTkuQ2owS0NRandrcnpQQmhDcUFSSXNBSk40NjBsd0xnTk1SWU1EWUwyaUdCcVdmdkZFRjEtWWltSVBUSGJ2NThQWGUxUE1KTEhXV2paR0RkVWFBcFhhRUFMd193Y0I.\*\_gcl\_au\*MTkzMzE4NDg3OC4xNzczODc3Mzc0

Seems unusual to me. I'll be sending an email to Emporia for more info. (I don't need a fckn fire in my garage because of something like this)
