Early era of othomon empire was much better.
Don’t you think the early era of the Ottoman Empire was far better and more aligned with Islamic values? Women actually fought alongside men, led armies, and played significant roles in society. But as time passed, the situation changed to the point where many women were reduced to merely dressing up and pleasing kings in order to secure their survival.
And I’m not trying to undermine the efforts made by women such as Hurrem Sultan or Kosem Sultan while living within the harem system ,they were undoubtedly intelligent and influential women in their own ways. But in my opinion, women in the earlier periods were portrayed as far stronger, freer, and more actively involved in society, especially before the harem system became so central to palace life.
