Which highlighters are ideal for glossy like paper?

I am studying for my driving learners and the paper on the handbook is glossy. Could you please recommend me highlighters that work on glossy paper? I own Stabilo and Staedtler highlighters so I am not sure if these work. I am not confident in using them because I am a bit of a perfectionist with my stuff. 😄 Thank you for the help.

Update: You could also recommend me pens! Might be easier to underline instead of highlighting. Therefore, in this case what works best? Gel or ballpoint pens?

Need Autism and ADHD information about seeking diagnosis in Victoria

Hi everyone. For a while now I suspect there's something going on with me. I struggle with social situations. I have no friends obviously and have had a hard time forming friendships. My attention is not well either and this has been evident in my academic years as well as everyday life.

There's more to the above such as the fact that I am depressed, unemployed (cannot find work due to disability and other factors), I live with family and in a toxic environment that I'd wish I was strong enough and financially able to move out and close the doors to everything and everyone who has traumatised me for more than 20 years of my life.

I am in constant fight with myself and with situation that I can't take this anymore.

I want to seek help from a Psychologist regarding assessment but it is so expensive! I have noticed fees as high as 5,000$ which is insane considering Australia is a wealthy country. I also have no idea where to look for info and who is appropriate to assess/diagnose me. A Psychiatrist? A Psychologist? Like, who is more certified? I am sure this varies between ADHD and Autism due to meds?

If you are someone who lives in Victoria and is an adult diagnosed with ASD/ADHD and can help me understand I would really appreciate it. For the reference, I'm in my late 20s, Female.

Thank you and I am sorry for the heavy description.

Fiction/literature books about family dynamics with emotional depth?

Hey guys! I am looking into contemporary fiction/literature books that include family dynamics and are perhaps emotional?

An example of some books I own which were recommended to me as emotional and that include family dynamics are:

- The bright years (Sarah Damoff)

- Hello beautiful (Ann Napolitano)

- James (Percival Everett)

- Foster (Claire Keegan)

Thank you so much for the help! :)

Pen recommendations for left-handed individuals

Hello guys! I'm left handed (no way it's in the title!) and I need pen recommendations that are left handed friendly.

I use brands like Pilot, Pentel, Zebra (sometimes), uni-ball, etc. And I mostly prefer gel pens due to how mice and smooth they are. I find ballpoint pens too strong and my wrist hurts. I use them sometimes especially if their ink mechanism feels gel pen at the same time.

Recommend me anything you want that you know is good and don't worry if I own them already. I am going to compile the responses in a pen list for future reference.

Thank you!!! Keep writing, and keep being a pen lover! 😄

Kobo device and Kobo website seems to not be working

Hi guys! I have noticed that for the last two days Kobo is experiencing a lot of technical difficulties. My kobo device is not syncing and the Kobo website is not working. I contacted customer service and it seems they are experiencing system issues? Anyway, has any of you been experiencing such issues the past couple of days? Ty. :)

Recommend me books that take the format of epistolary letters (epistolary books)

Hey! I am a huge lover of reading letters and diary entries. Therefore, I would like you to recommend me any books that you know that take the format of a epistolary/diary entries book. I am basically looking for books that are full of those! Page after page filled with letter exchanges or diary entries.

Recommend me anything you know, even if I have read it already. It is fine. Ty! 😄

Deciding which Billy bookshelves to buy

Hey guys! So I have a tall bookshelf that I need to replace with a new one because of safety reasons. I was thinking of purchasing the tall Billy bookshelf but I was wondering if I buy two of the small ones instead will they be the exact same as the tall one? Storage/capacity wise.

I have added both pictures for reference. I am thinking of buying the small ones as they are easier to move around and build. Ty for your help!

Comfort reads when going through a difficult time

Hello guys! I'm going through a difficult time this month and I'm feeling quite anxious and stressed. I was wondering what books could you recommend to me that provide comfort and feel like a big hug?

I like to read short stories, fantasy, sci-fi, sometimes romance. But any recommendation is welcome!

I don't want anything sad. I've been crying too much the past few days. 😂

Thank you so much guys! 💗🥰

TBR prompt: A book published in your year of birth (1997)

I picked a prompt from my TBR jar that says ''read a book published in your year of birth.'' I was born in 1997 so if there are any short books published in 1997, I would highly appreciate it if you recommend me a few. Thank you!

UPDATE: Thank you all guys for the recommendations! :)
