Just a couple of Bond alumni talking in a Tarantino movie.
"I got a bruddah..."

"I got a bruddah..."
I would never second guess his pronunciation of anything.
This was a few months ago now, but I can't say enough about this film.
Hugely influential on me; watched it all the time as a kid on VHS (taped from HBO, most likely).
It's plucky; it probably could have used more of a budget, but they did what they could with what they had. I recently saw somebody dogging the effects, but to me there’s kind of an otherworldly look to the miniatures and other work that I love and that I think actually suits the movie quite well.
The cast is incredible all the way down, which really helps.
What I most love now though, having finally seen it on the big screen, is it has that Nolan "survival is victory" vibe a la DUNKIRK.
Oh, and I almost forgot, George Fenton's score is fantastic.
No. Of course it isn't.
I was at the Schlock-O-Rama X event at The Mahoning Drive-In this past weekend, and the first two films had five Bond actors between them.
Village of the Damed, amazingly, had two actors who essentially played the same role in two different films. The town doctor was played by Laurence Naismith, who was Sir Donald, the diamond expert, in Diamonds Are Forever. Sir Edgar Hargreaves (possibly the Home Secretary?) was played by Richard Vernon, who played Col. Smithers, the man from The Bank of England, in Goldfinger.
These Are The Damed (or just... The Damned, as it was in the UK) features Alexander Knox aka "The code word is imminent" from You Only Live Twice, as well as a pair of officers played by Walter Gotell and James "Why don't you try the Identigraph?" Villiers.
Saw it on 70mm tonight. Looked and sounded positively cherry.
