host failed to properly secure premises against man covertly living in basement [USA]

while i was staying at this airbnb, my roommates and i encountered a phrogger. basically a person who secretly lives in the house. in the case, the basement. the police were called and the intruder was arrested. initially, i assumed that this was just a one time break-in. however, the police report tells a different story. the police report noted that the basement reeked of urine and that makeshift bedding was present, which indicates the intruder had been there for some time.

all the host did was drill down the basement door and set up a decoy alarm sign. he did not get a professional cleaner for the pee odor and continued to rent it out. i think the host was negligent in addressing the issue. my understanding is that hosts are required to conduct walkthroughs of the property prior to renting it out. based off of the pee odor and bedding, the intruder had been there for some time.

i also posted a review for the specific room regarding the intruder. however the host has since deleted the listing for that specific room. i assume this is so that people can't see i posted about it. i asked airbnb support to remove the host's profile because it is clearly an unsafe property and the security is not sufficient but they haven't done that yet.

it scares me to think how many people stayed at that airbnb and assumed the intruder was just a ghost or raccoon. the security at the property is clearly not sufficient. still i am glad that i was there because my roommates were oblivious to the danger they were in. one was asleep, another knew of him but wasn't aware he was an unwelcome guest, and another had not yet arrived. host also has a pet that is not disclosed.

why has airbnb not removed this host yet?

Normally, how long does it take for a detective to be assigned to a home break-in case?

I experienced a home break-in while staying at a vacation rental. The intruder was arrested on the spot. He was released from jail eight hours later. I have footage that I took of him, as well as texts between me and my host describing what was happening. I sent that to the evidence unit weeks ago.

The case was initially sent to the domestic violence unit (presumably because I am a woman and the intruder was a man), despite that it was abundantly clear I did not know the intruder. That error was corrected and later sent over to the special victims unit, but no detective has been assigned. The SVU sergeant is also out of the office, so I have no idea how long it'll take. I can't seem to get a clear answer from any of the victim advocates as to what is going on here.

I do not know if this is normal. I am worried about possible conflicts of interest throughout this process. I feel like I am being given the runaround. The intruder is from a very influential family. Due to that, I am concerned that the police department may be deliberately sidelining this case. The intruder has a prior sex offense and I'm fearful that he will hurt people.

From a LEO's point of view, is it unusual for this case to be taking so long to be assigned a detective? If the PD continues to put this case aside, when should I consider reaching out to the DA and AG offices?

BYU independent study religion classes

Has anyone here taken religion classes via BYU independent study? I'm thinking about taking a few for UL credit. The Pioneers, Conflict, and Growth course looks really interesting. Can anyone here vouch for specific religion classes? Thanks

Anyone know the origins of this photo? It's an alleged daguerreotype of Joseph Smith Jr.

I came across this photo on Pinterest and it was attributed to Joseph Smith Jr. I don't think it's been posted anywhere else and I don't know the origins of it. I know about the Larsen daguerreotype, but this is the first time that I've seen this. It was posted by someone named Marcus Brody. Maybe it's some very skilled fabrication with Photoshop? The fleshy tip on his nose certainly resembles other Smiths that I know of.

are there any genetic traits that determine if you're into boobs or ass?

i know that most genes are multifaceted but i was wondering if there are any correlations between certain genes and boob/ass preference (serious question)
