Ubcv ABio or ubcv arts chances
Hey guys I'm from Manitoba and i'm in my grade 12 year, I really want to move to vancouver, and start a new life.
I'm going to apply for applied bio, and arts. I would prefer applied bio, but arts would be my backup as I am well versed and would be able to study something arts gladly.
Arts I would do something like philosophy, or sociology
My gr 11 avg was ~91.8%, with ELA, History, and advanced Chem being my highest @~96%. While Pre cal was at 82% and my AP bio was at 88%, being my lowest.
My gr 12 avg will probably be ~91% too,
Pre cal - 82%
English - 94%
Physics - 93%
Chemistry - 92%
Canadian Law - 94%
(I took my senior bio in grade 11)
(With arts, not sure how it would look when I only have 2 arts related courses on my schedule)
I have some references in mind as I played club volleyball for numerous years at a very competitive level, I also run cross country and am one of the captains of the team. I have worked in a restaurant for a year so far, and i'm sure one of my managers wouldn't mind vouching for me as well as a coach from my volleyball career. I have perhaps some teachers who I could use as references as well.
Clearly, my extracurriculars are pretty average and I have volunteered perhaps twice.
I mean... I could join some sort of club at my school right now, but I'm not sure how authentic that is.
in the future I would like to go into med or law...
I have also applied to the u of manitoba, and probably will apply u of winnipeg as backups… maybe even uvic
Let me know what you think, I have been writing my personal profile, will probably submit by Monday or so.
I’m focusing kinda on my experiences, my background, and what’s the positive outcome that’s come out of it kinda.
