Went to the zoo last week and the otters were gone. That hurts. Adorable smelly little weirdos were a highlight for me.

I’ve wanted to check out the Santa Monica’s around Calabasas for a while — Stunt, Piuma, Las Flores, etc.

Hoping some of you have a suggestion for first time out tasting the waters. My ideal route would be to start on the Calabasas side, get over to PCH and loop back. Is there a fun, scenic route that’s challenging but not crazy?

Had some good moments. Still got the yips. I wish we could see a lineup where he’s not dropping back so far.

I’m interested in getting a bike carrier for the roof but wondering if it ended up being a good solution in your experience. Appreciate any of your thoughts!

Pros: I don’t have to get a tow hitch installed. Can also add other roof accessories for different kinds of trips.

Cons: efficiency penalty. Ease of use/mounting on top of the car? How secure is it?

I have a small budget to upgrade my wheels. Will any of these options (all used but in good shape) make a noticeable difference compared to my current setup?

Currently: CAAD10, stock Shimano RS11s, Grand Prix 5000 with tubes. Rim brakes. All options below would be 700c
