Draft Day 1 Discussion Thread
I get the irony right now with not having a pick this thread seems dumb. But there's always a possibility with the rumors of possible players being traded that we end up with a pick.
I've decided to make a centralized thread since I can see today already we've had a couple posts about draft day trade ideas.
IF a trade happens those can have their own designated post and discussions. But until that happens we'll keep discussions through the draft here.
Fletcher Mackel went on Instagram just now and said Ja is NOT heading to New Orleans in a trade.
This comes after posting a video this morning saying the pelicans stink with desperation in trying to add players.

I'll post both links in comments

The Bitter Italian... A Sheffield Wednesday Football Club cocktail
Many moons ago (like 8 months) I got hammered and watched old football/soccer highlights and drunkenly made an apple cider whiskey sour. Due to the amber colored apple cider syrup and the yellow from the lemon matching the team colors, on top of the teams badge being a bantam chicken, the egg white also matched what I thought was drunken genius on my end.
Since then I've been working on a couple ideas for continuing a series of drink riffs I felt would match various soccer clubs in England (sorry Serie A, Bundesliga, LALIGA, and others... I don't really follow you)
I didn't plan on doing one tonight until I saw Amaretto was on sale at my local liquor store. I looked up various recipes I could use and saw that I could basically make another Sour riff which isn't really exciting for the series I have planned, but another random quick thinking bout of ADD got me thinking...
I knew nothing about amaretto outside of a random pop punk song from like 2002. Google led me to learn that Amaretto means "bitter Italian" loosely in translation. Google also led me to learn that Paolo Di Canio was an Italian footballer who played for several English clubs in the 90s and early 00s who infamously was suspended 11 matches for pushing a referee while he played for sheffield Wednesday.
Now I didn't think it was fair to try to name a drink solely on one incident just because i was able to come across a small connection. I want there to be more to this series as well as the drink.
So I know I'm doing a sour recipe, so I head to the whiskey isle which actually made me realize why Sheffield Wednesday fit. I came across a bottle of Chattanooga Whiskey, a city and a distillery i love so much. Easily my favorite city in the county and no I'm not from there. I looked at the only bottle they had on the shelf which was a 111 proof. I got thinking again... Paolo served 1 11-match ban. I was sold but did one last bit of digging. Sheffield Wednesday is known as the owls. In 2016, the Chattanooga zoo (should be called chattazooga, but that's another story for a different day) went viral as they rescued a one eyed owl in 2016 and gave it a 3D printed eye. There was probably the most important connection to make this drink. I found a connection to the fans.
Yeah I'm kinda drunk writing this and holy hell is it a novel. Hopefully you enjoyed my ramblings and if you want to celebrate a Bitter Italian, here's the recipe.
1.5 oz of Chattanooga Whiskey 111 proof.
1 oz of Raffelli Amaretto
1 oz of lemon juice
2-3 dashes of aromatic bitters.
Shake with ice.
Pour over ice.

He’s been with the club since he was 14 (when we was in league 2) one of my scouts scouted him from Denmark, after a few loans he’s now starting for us in the prem and doing quite well.
