Halloween vs F13

I LOVED F13 when it came out and i played it with my friends on xbox. recently, before discovering this game, i downloaded camp forest green and started playing again, great experience, so impressively optimized by today’s standards, and pretty much how i remember it. After discovering Halloween, it has kind of “ruined” the experience because all i think about is “this will be better when halloween comes out” “i can’t wait for this feature!” anyone else?

I want to build credit

I’ve got an alright jog, i get about $2K per month, i recently got a credit card and got a $2000 credit limit, i’ve been using it instead of my debit card and just paying the balance when posted, is this going to increase my credit score? or must i wait until the date that the minimum must be paid by in order to accrue credit? because as i understand it thats when whatever report happens and they would get the number? i dont know. i’m spending a low amount of my card, and just paying it back whenever i can. this is the first month i’ve had the card, got it near the end of next month and i don’t have a credit score yet. thanks for any help or advice!

thinking of switching to steamOS, but not fully committed

If i get a secondary SSD and install steamOS to it, would i then be able to choose which SSD to boot from? this is how it works?

if so, would there be any complications with accessing data on windows SSD from SteamOS or vice versa? like could i delete everything steam from my windows SSD and then still launch SteamOS’ steam on windows? has anyone tried this? the reason i ask is because i have windows dependent hardware (and i know there are community workarounds for some if not all) like elgato’s stream deck and internal capture card, also unsure about my graphics card (even though it is AMD) and i know for a fact my oculus rift s wont work on it.

I just want to be able to ease myself into it, stick my toe in the waters and be able to switch between them on a whim if i need windows for something. i don’t intend to build a new PC for this and if i did, i’d buy a steam machine. i do intend to buy a steam frame though. thank you!

Reservation question

i think it is pretty certain the frame will have a reservation system, for anyone who reserved either the Steam Deck or Steam Controller recently, how much did it cost, if anything? and what do you think it will cost to reserve the steam frame?

You can now call this reservation discussion as both questions based on fact are answered.
personally? i think there will be some type of price for the reservation of the frame and machine as they are larger, more expensive products (more similar to the deck) while the controller is smaller and less expensive.

what drug is valve pumping into steamVR?

I’m running VR on an OCULUS Rift S, and always believed that running steamvr as an app through meta whatever was adding some extra load to my games, even though they played fine, but recently i accidentally ran Forefront on meta fuck and it ran really bad, and i considered that i might have to upgrade my graphics card to play it (and because i researched it im going to anyways) but then i got it running on SteamVR and it completely changed everything and it ran super smooth, any reason why this is? is steamVR super optimized?

it took 2 days for the steam controller to be packaged and i saw that yesterday someone maybe had been shipped? i bought mine maybe 15 minutes after it had been available for purchase because i was playing a game and thought i had better alarms so i think it is first come first serve.
Maybe this will be comparable to the frame shipping times of “if you’re a few minutes late to release you get delayed by a few hours/days”
i don’t know, either way i’m hype because it’s fast by my standards! can’t wait for the frame!

They took it from Q1 to H1 because of ram, right now we are at the beginning of month 5/12, which gives us a whole 2 months for the frame to come before that deadline. we are in peak.

The amount of scalping is distasteful to say the least. I am very excited for the release of the Frame still even with how the controller’s launch went, we are told to hear something soon, and i hope that what will be heard is a date for when to order the Steam Frame. Very excited for the controller! and i don’t care if the steam frame being able to track the controller using IR lights is next to useless i love it.

The steam frame is essentially a steam deck strapped to your face, in the sense that both are battery powered devices which can play flat screen games.
With the dongle, could you (somehow, either directly via USB-C or with an adapter) plug it into a steam deck and play LAN games on the go with a separate player using the dongle as a wifi connection? almost similar to a Nintendo DS?
I have a second person with a steam drawn and will be testing this IMMEDIATELY. but what are your thoughts?
