How to do the SCS?

This mod package is rather good, it makes enemies behave intelligently.

Unfortunately that means enemy wizards are clad in protective spells, thieves backstab you for damage and fighters fight.

I do like this experience, but sometimes I still struggle with fights, especially the wizards.

Also is there some mod or script that makes pre-buffing faster?

SCS has some fast casting for general spells that you want to have up on all party members, such as Death Ward or Chaotic Commands.

What I am looking for is pressing one button, and all clerics and wizards cast predetermined spells on predetermined targets.

Are the items Deidre sells fake?

So she has a collection of Planescape Torment themed items, but some seem a bit off.

Dak'kon's Zerth Blade:

  • Probably the worst offender. it being made of chaos matter, or kharach, it should simply cease to exist when being parted from Dakkon. Although thematically it behaves like his OG blade, while of course being a lot less powerful.

Vhailor's Helm:

  • Seems kinda random, why can I summon a copy of myself after putting on the helmet from a formerly animated suit of armor?

Are they actually OG equipment from the PST crew, or has someone slapped a label on them to make them seem more special?

Upgrading Mace of Disruption - Very silly

So I took 200 pounds of illithium to Cromwell in the docks.

I figured he would take some small chunk of it to upgrade my MoD.

But he took all.

How does this Dwarf use a full grown man's worth of material to upgrade one handheld mace weighing 8 pounds afterwards?

Opinions about power plants?

Here is my poorly informed opinion, feel free to contribute your own experience with power generation in this game.

Coal Power:

  • Low cost.

  • High pollution does not matter early on as you can place it far away from your city.

Hydroelectric Dam:

  • Low cost, never needs replacement.

  • Make custom map with tons of waterfalls for infinite energy.

Oil Power Plant:

  • No reason to buy over coal power, as you want to place them far away from your city anyways.

Gas Power Plant:

  • Never tried, seems expensive and pointless.

Fission Energy:

  • Clean and pricey.

  • I usually stick to coal power until I am rich and fusion is there.

  • Has anyone ever gotten a meltdown in normal play?

Wind:

  • Too much space requirement to get useful amounts of power.

  • Get Hydroelectric Dams for free energy.

Solar:

  • Tried once or twice, power output is low.

  • Haven't paid attention, does the power generation go down on cloudy days?

Microwave Energy:

  • Can't buy, saving for fusion power.

Fusion Power:

  • Legendary tier power plant.

  • It's clean and makes lots of power.

  • Design is kinda boring. The futuristic version is kinda cool, the temple of energy.

Doing a new run, and there is a storm in Candlekeep on day one.

How to deal with medium and large demolishers?

There are a lot of videos and guides for the small ones.

But they are reasonably easy to deal with, while the larger versions are quite a challenge.

What are ways that work for these guys?

Mostly interested in tactics that can to this with as little research as possible, but your go-to way of big game deworming goes too.

How good is Globe of Invulnerability?

The lesser version is great, wizards in Baldur's Gate love their lightning bolts, and in Shadows of Amn liches and such sometimes throw sequencers with 3 nasty level 3 damage spells at you.

Now the full version of Globe of Invulnerability also confers immunity to level 4 spells, which does not strike me as very useful.

There don't seem to be any common offensive spells on level 4, and when a wizard wastes a turn casting Ice Storm or Contagion instead of something actually dangerous I am pretty happy already.

Plus level 6 slots are pretty tight, and there are a lot of must cast spells in that list.

Yes, level 4 has also good spells, but not to the extend of PFMW or Improved Haste.
