Best EDC for a lefty

Looking to buy an EDC and really prefer one with ambi slide and mag release. About the only one I can find that's remotely interesting is the HK VP9cc. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Shilen lead times are crazy

So been thinking about doing a proper benchrest build and reached out to Shilen to get an idea of pricing and lead time. For one of their Select Match barrels it's a 3 YEAR lead time. So I'll be looking elsewhere. Sigh.

Katie's first match

Got out to my first match today, a Long Gong. Tougher than I thought, but had a great time. Really great community. Can't wait for the next one.

A great day with Katie at the range

Took Katie out to the range today. Shot her out at 50yards for some ammo testing as I've got a Long Gong match tomorrow. She seemed to like RWS 50 the most, but she shot Lapua Center X very well and SK Rifle Match very respectably. Took her to the 300 yard range and she was hammering the 300 yard target very easily. Can't wait to see how she performs tomorrow. Fingers crossed for low-wind conditions tomorrow.

Need a benchrest scope. What have you got?

Looking at something with 50 and up magnification. Right now I'm looking at Nightfoce Competition, Vortex Golden Eagle, and Athlon Ares ETR Gen 2. Trying to keep it under $3k. I'll be shooting Long Gong and ABA matches.

Question: Building a RimX - MPA Comp Pro or MDT ACC Elite chassis?

Anybody have any experience with either of these chassis? I know the MPA is new, but the Elite has been around a while. I've got an L3i Hyve that I'm dubious about and have ordered a Vision for my CZ 457 so I'm getting familiar with these types of chassis. Any input welcome.

It's my great pleasure to introduce Katie

This is Katie. She's a threaded CZ 457 with a Mullerworks 1.25" (8gr 16 tw) straight barrel in an L3i Hyve chassis, a Timney trigger, and a Nightforce 7-35 scope. Her bolt has been reworked with the Desert Precision extractor, Pete's Pillars firing pin, and an Area419 knob .She's chambered for Eley and did a great job during her first trip to the range. Really looking forward to many years at the range and a whole bunch of competitions.

New Scales Sunday!

Moved away from my car to scales on my Hogue Deka 2 to aluminum cerakote. A nice upgrade that added some much needed weight.

Fresh set of skins always feels good

Always nice to have some fresh clean skins on the Buck 791 Range Elite. They add just enough grip and hold extremely well. Just don't get any oil on them or the adhesive let's go.

Latest addition....Kershaw Bel Air XL

Have the standard version and love it and love this one already. Just needed a little oil out of box and she's good to go. Super smooth action and the scales are super grippy. I do love g10.
