ways for turtle to be happy (limited money)

i have a red eared slider, but he outgrew his "good" tank, and now we basically have the bare minimum and my parents won't do anything about it and it's really upsetting. we have rocks, lights, filters, a piece of wood, and a basking platform, but its pretty barren and im worried hes dying of boredom all day. he isnt interested in ping pong balls, is there anything i can give him to be happier with limited money?

eyes darkened after infection was treated?

my leopard gecko had an infection a while ago and the eyes have been darker ever since (the second picture is how they used to be as a juvenile)

her eyes still dilate normally and nothing changed about her reaction and aim.

should i be concerned or are they just like this now?

Spider thorax stripes

why do so many spiders, specifically ones that run and hunt, have this stripe pattern on their thoraxes? the one with the lighter stripe in the middle and darker on the sides, usually with lighter again after the darker. does this pattern somehow help them hunt or avoid predators? is it just a coincidence and im looking too much into it?

The paralysis melon

before i had sleep paralysis i was dreaming that there was an image of a cantaloupe that had specific pixels that would temporarily paralyze anyone who saw it, so there was a new meme where people would post the image with the caption "me when i look at the paralysis melon:"

anyways someone sent me the meme and then i woke up with sleep paralysis and the hallucination was just a big version of the image in my room

weirdest/funniest sleep paralysis stories?

I have it a lot and the hallucinations can be interesting, like ive had my blankets bite me, had my room get eyes, seen humanoid deer with chicken legs for arms, etc.

one time i thought "why is this never scary anymore??" so my brain took that as a challenge and made the trevor henderson baby start running around my room

there was once that i was annoyed with it going so long so i tried using all of my willpower to get up, but i ended up just hallucinating getting up until i "fell over" and was back in bed

one time there was a basic shadow figure standing there, so i thought of that one emergency markiplier post but it didn't work and the way the figure was standing made it look like it thought i was stupid for trying.

do any of you have weird stories like this?

small camel spider, is it possible?

a solifuge i was studying just straight-up died from exhaustion from running in circles. I feel really bad about it since they're my favorite animal, so i want to try my best to preserve it. is it too small or possible to minimize any shriveling? if so can i have some pointers?
