Audio sounding wildly different between editing and the final product, as well as across devices
I use DaVinci resolve 17 (free version) to edit my YouTube videos, which tend to consist of intercut segments recorded in two different ways: studio recordings, and outdoor/field recordings. I rather often receive comments telling me that my volume is all over the place, with the field-recorded segments being significantly louder than my studio-recorded ones. However, when I export/render a video, the studio segments tend to be far louder than they were in editing, especially when the video is played on my IPhone speaker. Meanwhile, on my desktop (MacOS), or with headphones on, the studio segments are quieter. Basically, it's very hard for me to predict how my videos will sound to people, because it seems there's almost no consistency, and I'm wondering if there's a way to address this.
I tried normalizing my audio, but all that did was make the entire timeline quieter.
