IL - Has anyone called their state's Human Services department to get someone to look at the documents they uploaded?

Just like the title says. I uploaded the required documents to the Manage My Case portal on August 2nd and am thinking of calling sometime next week to see about getting someone to at least look at them so I don't end up losing my food stamps. Each state should have their recipients have their own caseworker instead of just whoever answers the phone first.

Anyone else enjoy water better than soda or other beverages?

Anyone else like water rather than soda or other beverages? Don't get me wrong, I like drinking maybe 1 or 2 cans of soda depending on my mood but anymore I'd rather drink some ice cold water than have a lot of soda.

What can I do besides epsom salt baths to get this flare to open and drain?

Just like the title says. I've been doing Epsom salt baths for the past few nights after I get home from work and I feel like this flare isn't coming to a head (pun intended). What else can I do to bring it to a head before I call my new dermatologist's office on Monday to get an appointment? It's on my right butt cheek, making it hard to sit or lie down. I work at our local Walmart Th-Sun each week as a customer host (fka door greeter) and already plan on getting some diaper rash cream for it as well as some witch hazel stuff when I get paid.

Do HS spots feel like there's a "tract" underneath the skin?

Just like the title says. I haven't seen a dermatologist yet but I have this big lump that feels like it has at least 2 "sacs" that hurt like no other. I keep getting it on my right butt cheek for some reason. I am a 36F and don't know anything about HS.

Just like the title says. The last few days I've been dealing with some pretty bad pressure in my right eustachian tube and was wondering if anyone's had balloon dilation done that relieved the pressure in the tube?

Update on redetermination and interview (Illinois)

For those of you wondering how my redetermination and interview issue has been, I have excellent news. My redetermination showed up in ABE on July 14th and I completed it that morning. I did my phone interview this afternoon and submitted the proof for the property taxes that I paid them as well onto ABE shortly after I did the phone interview. They should have everything they need to process it and let me know my new SNAP amount that I'll be receiving each month until next year's redetermination and interview.

I haven't received any updates on my Manage My Case account for my yearly redetermination (Illinois). Should I call first thing Monday when they open?

Just like the title says. Normally by this time I'd have my yearly redetermination completed and I'd be waiting to go down to the office to do my interview. This year, I haven't heard anything or received any notices on my Manage My Case account (Illinois). Should I call them first thing on Monday when they open and see what's going on and ask if I can get it done over the phone?

For those of you that live in the Midwest this week, stay hydrated and stay where there's A/C

Just like the title says. This week the heat indices are going to be triple digits all week. Stay hydrated and stay inside with the A/C going as much as possible.

I think the perfect size reusable water bottle is 32oz

I think the perfect size for a reusable insulated water bottle is 32oz. I was able to purchase a new 32 oz Ozark Trail Rose Pink water bottle from my local Walmart the other day and it's completely replaced my 36 oz dented Yeti Rambler. I promise I'm not a bot and I'm just telling people the kinds of bottles I'm either currently using or have used in the past.

I've been gaining an average of 1.25 lbs per month since my yearly gynecologist visit last September. Anyone else?

Has anyone else been gaining a bunch of weight since their last gynecologist visit? My last visit was 09/23/2025 and I weighed 100.8 lbs (100 lbs, 12.8 ozs) and tonight I weighed 110.8 lbs (110 lbs, 12.8 ozs). I'm going to be talking to my primary doctor as well as my gynecologist in August and September respectively to get to the bottom of it.
