Brave vs Vivaldi: Performance on mid-range phone?

I've been using Brave Browser for a long time. It feels lightweight, fast, and its built-in ad blocker is top-tier. Over time, I've shifted most of my daily tasks from standalone apps to the browser.

Recently, I came across Vivaldi and learned that it's one of the best browsers for productivity and customization even in Android. However, I’m concerned about hardware optimization and long-term performance on my phone, which has the following specs:

**Processor:** MediaTek Dimensity 7400 **RAM:** 8 GB LPDDR4X **Storage:** 128 GB UFS 3.1

With Brave, performance has been completely smooth so far, but its customization and productivity options aren't quite on Vivaldi's level.

  1. How well does Vivaldi run on mid-range specs like this compared to Brave?
  2. If I don't clear the cache regularly, will Vivaldi become laggy, heavy, or hog storage over time?

Why does Brave get hate for being Chromium, while Cromite, Helium, or Titanium get recommended?

I see people recommending Cromite, Helium, or Titanium, but dismissing Brave for being Chromium based or due to its past controversies. Even though Brave is doing pretty well present-day, its privacy and adblocking are still better or similar out of the box compared to most browsers, while also being fast and relatively light on RAM.

Body trimmer under 3000 BDT?

Can anyone suggest a good trimmer under 30$ for trimming private parts hair and sensitive areas? I won’t use it for beard or anything else. I’m looking for something that is safe, skin-friendly, and can last for a long time.I won't change the blade because blade isn't available in the country I live. Some YouTubers say the Philips BG1025/15 is one of the best for private parts hair and ball grooming under 30$. Has anyone used it, or do you have any better suggestions?

Did I say something wrong, or is this sub obsessed with Firefox and completely against non-Chromium browsers?

Congratulations, you blocked yourself

I was simply trying to visit hagezi.com, but the page failed to load. Out of curiosity, I checked my NextDNS query log and found that it was blocked by HaGeZi Multi PRO! I honestly have no idea why this happened or what triggered it. Is it just a false positive from a recent update?

Android Private DNS + Proton VPN — Does it reduce privacy protection?

Hello Proton Community, I have a question about Android’s Private DNS feature and how it interacts with Proton VPN. Main Question: When I enable Private DNS (such as NextDNS) and connect to Proton VPN, does it weaken the VPN’s protection or allow any leakage? What I observed:

I set Private DNS to NextDNS with blocking filters (gambling/adult sites etc.). Connected to Proton VPN. Still couldn’t access the blocked gambling websites. As soon as I disabled Private DNS, the sites loaded normally through Proton VPN.

This suggests the blocking is purely DNS-based.

My Concern: If I keep using NextDNS as Private DNS along with Proton VPN, can my ISP still see:

The websites I visit? Content on non-HTTPS (unencrypted) sites?

Would appreciate any insights from the Proton team or experienced users on this combination. Thank you!
