Bandai really needs to patch the tales games on switch 2

I just started berseria today and had to put it down before i even finished the intro part. The switch 2 changes nothing, it only makes it more apparent they never even tried.

The game is SO BAD on switch it's unreal:

  • the textures look like garbage even for switch standards
  • the shadows literally blink when moving the camera
  • the performance sucks, should not struggle with all the downgrades, but it does
  • the latency is unacceptable in battles, there is very obvious delays and input lag

This released what? maybe 6-8 months ago? and they still never bother to at least pretend they care to do something to make it better? What is it with bandai just dumping the absolute worst quality ports and refusing to enhance them on switch 2?

We are stuck with literal garbage.

A company so lazy, they don't even bother when they have new hardware made available and yet even square took the opportunity to enhance switch 1 games.

SD card bug on hiby r1? V1.6

Recently got an R1 as my first DAP and immediately I started running into a problem related to my SD card library. Every time I shut down the device, and boot it later, the R1 forgets all the indexed files and I have to scan the whole thing again.

Just to be sure, I re-formated my SD card to exfat again (because it's a 256G) from my PC and retransferred all my flac files only to still run into the same problem.

The R1 does not have a way to let you format an SD card so I can't test that.

Out of curiosity, I installed rockbox to see if I can reproduce the same issue but, it doesn't do it. It seems to be a problem specific to hiby os.

Just got my hybi R1

Unfortunately I'm stuck with an old 8 year old pair of headphones that used to retail for 65 cad so even wired it's not great. Hopefully my new headphones ship this week.

Headphones recommendations for a hiby R1 DAP

I am looking to buy nice headphones for under 150 CAD, preferably closed-back ones. I currently have had the audio technica ATH-M40x ordered on Amazon canada but i am noticing very long delays in shipping (6+ days and still not shipped nor charged on the CC) so i am now second guessing my choice.

I will use an Hiby R1 DAP, mostly play FLAC files ripped from my CDs collection or purchased online on platforms like qobuz.

I like the following bands:

  • sisters of mercy
  • Holly Knight
  • wink
  • Marilyn Manson
  • Moonspell
  • Joy Division
  • Hyde
  • New Order
  • The Chameleons
  • Sonata Arctica

this is a rough idea of the sound i like, Hopefully there is something that would fit the various styles i like

Does anyone have experience using these headphones from moano?

i am looking at buying an Hiby R1 alongside a pair of headphones (wired) and stumbled uppong the moano MH700 which seems to be glazed by a lot of people on youtube. Ideally if those aren't a good fit are there any other headphones below 130 cad that you could recommend? I looked into the M40X but i can not justify spending 150 cad on those they seem to be tuned for mixing and recording rather than casual music listening.

Red jalapeño blueberry hot sauce before and after 21 days

Ingredients for fermentation: blueberries (didn't weight), red jalapeño peppers (about 10-12), red onion (roughly 1/4th), 3 garlic cloves. Fermented 21 days, at that point the taste was delicious. Blended with the brine, added a teaspoon of lime juice and 3 teaspoons of white sugar. Simmered 15 minutes to prevent a second fermentation then bottled. This stuff is AMAZING, tangy, has a hint of fruit, lightly spicy, salty. Umami bomb.

"Transaction failed" at checkout but sezzle says it went through and shopify did not generate orders

I have this problem where i tried to purchase the same item 3 times because it kept telling me "failed" on sezzle.

I thought it was my CC denying so the third attempt was with my other cc.

The merchant confirmed the orders did not go through and they have nothing on sezzle or shopify despite sezzle saying it went through and was captured.

I'm at my wit's end and don't know where to go for the orders to be cancelled on sezzle's end. They say they can't do it but I seriously doubt it.

What are my legal recourses for such a situation?

Two of my tickets were closed before i could even get a chance to provide proofs

Maritime Madness hot sauces are different online vs in the actual bottle?

I recently purchased a 6 pack of their hot sauces online (official website) and I was disappointed when I realized the ingredients were not the same as what is still listed on their store.

For example, the simple ghost pepper recipe list online: vinegar, habaneros, lime juice, sweet onion, carrot, ghost pepper, xanthan gum.

But as you can see, the bottle I got tells a different story.

Any idea why that would be the case? I wanted the sauce based off the listed ingredients and I got something different and I feel scammed now.

New fermented sauce batch

I fermented a mash of red scotch bonnet and LOTS of garlic vacuum sealed for 20 days and then blended with white vinegar, cherries, raspberries, sugar and allspice.

The sauce is the most umami I have ever done. It's like an umami forward sriracha. Both salty and sweet, tangy, fruity. So damn good.

I brought a sample to share for an evening planned with people.

Actual Good Canadian made sriracha?

I have been searching for canadian sriracha in nearby groceries in Quebec for quite a while and the only option i have found, is firebarns. Unfortunately, i do not think their sriracha is good because it doesn't even taste like sriracha and it's too vinegary.

I was wondering if anyone knew of another canadian brand? I'm starting to think, making my own fermented sriracha is the only option since what firebarns makes isn't nearly as good as the OG rooster brand recipe.

PSA: Atelier yumia switch 2 "upgrade" runs extremely poorly

This is just a warning to anyone considering purchasing the atelier yumia switch 2 upgrade: the game now runs below 30 fps and hovers around with a choppy 20fps at times, it is now in a poorer state than just playing the switch 1 version via the backwards compatibility mode.

The game has heavi stutters and lags and none of the predefined modes fix this.

Save your money, this is not worth your time.

This heartbeat scorpion hot sauce is so tasty!

Man! I didn't expect it to be this flavorful or this balanced. This is keeping a permanent place in my fridge for sure.

So good! Tangy. Sweet, salty, smokey, hot but not too much.... Damn

A few fermented sauces i made at home

In the last 6 months i have fallen down the rabbithole of home fermentation in order to experiment with hot peppers and the journey has been.... a roller coaster for sure. Some sauce i made were GREAT others were just ok or MEH but it's not going to stop me!

In the picture you see two recent batches:

The red/brown one is a habanero-blueberry sauce, it has habanero, garlic, red onion, carrots and blueberries. apple cider vinegar was added when blending (i like the taste of vinegar ok). This is one of the "meh" sauces. it's..... funky for sure and i have no idea what to do with this.

The green/brown one is a green scotch bonnet and jalapeno sauce. it has garlic and white onion, and i added white vinegar and two dried chipotle peppers when blending. this one is BOMB, the flavor is unreal!

Currently i have hongarian wax pepper fermenting as well as a red scotch bonnet + ton of garlic pepper mash fermenting. I think i will use the mash like i would a sambal olek

Secondhand Lelit Anna PID [700CAD]

I am considering purchasing a secondhand ANNA PID and it had been used for 4 years l.

Seller doesn't seem to know a whole lot about espresso in general and still uses the included plastic tamper. So i'm expecting this machine to need a deep clean and gasket replacements at the minimum.

Top where the pump, wiring and boiler are seem good to me, i have seen the machine in action. Shower debit isn't straight, needs cleaning for sure, pressure seem fine, steams fine too.

Bottom chassis screws need replacement as they rusted but it's a cheap and easy fix so i'm not worried.

Would you still recommend i buy new instead? So far this one doesn't like it has any major failures

Some informations about the mysterious "avanti" brand in canada

I almost purchased an avanti capri because the specs looked very attractive for 540$ cad.

I couldn't find ANY pertinent information about avanti and i had a hunch the whole package seemed too good to be true so i showed up at sobab in quebec and inquired the technician about it.

here is what i found:

  1. avanti machines have a tendency to have their switches break easily
  2. They have a tendency to accumulate rust in the steam wand and other parts inside
  3. the installed pump is very low end and can break after 3-4 years of regular daily use
  4. once rust starts to show up in the steam wand, i was told you're better off purchasing another machine because continuing to repair it over time will cost you more than buying a better quality machine from the get go

I'm just glad the technician was honest with me, had he not been i would have purchased one of those. They ARE repairable but they are not designed to be used for 10+ years. These are cheap for a reason.

Hopefully this post gets enough attention so others trying to find information about avanti can read it.
