Is anyone else sad about the US' 250th birthday celebrations?

I'm not going to get political here.

I'm old enough to remember the US bicentennial celebrations and it was *so exciting*! Maybe that's through the rose coloured glasses of a 10 year old but it felt like even here in Australia, we were celebrating with them. I remember American flags being flown all over and wall to wall tv coverage. I'm sure I remember the Stars and Stripes being flown from the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Now it all feels a bit meh. It's just another day and it seems like a lot of Americans aren't even interested in celebrating.

Again, through a child's eyes, it felt like America was our friend and that we mattered to them and they to us. We were respected as a strategic economic and political ally and that really meant something.

I'm sad. It feels like we've both lost something important. Not least of which is a chance to throw a beano of a party to celebrate.

USDA confirms second case of New World Screwworm in South Texas

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The United States Department of Agriculture has confirmed a second detection of New World Screwworm in Zavala County.
According to the USDA, the detection was confirmed on Friday on a domestic cattle.

Wrong Gen Club (WGC) owner here. Let me explain.

"Ale" is nolan. This went down in the CY official server last night. He first joined my server and started another fight over apparent defamation, then He went on an absolute mad lad run, banning everyone associated with my server (Wrong Gen Club) for "Defamation" (ofc you'll be talked about when you start drama like nolan does). Nolan only sees this as defamation because he doesn't want to admit that all of it is true. He has spies watching my server 24/7 and went on a schizophrenic rant as you see there about people defaming him, yet were the obsessed ones apparently and not him. and then turned on the current owner u/needaGandT (Davetron) when he disagreed with Nolan's extreme measures. I really hope this post stays up, because everyone here needs to know exactly why Nolan was removed last night and why he Shouldn't be here to begin with as he was mysteriously restored earlier today. Nolan is nothing but trouble and always has been ever since this started, as much as he doesn't want to admit that. Thank you!
