Is there Blood Drive Part III as a Task?

Is there Blood Drive Part III as a Task?

In Tasks, I have Blood Drive Part II where I completed 6 Special Therapy tasks. The only task I don't have completed is a perfect Coyle trial, but it doesn't say anywhere that I need all 7 tasks. Does Blood Drive Part III exist and is it because of the 7th task that I don't see it?

California and Nevada: potential cryptomining host fraud

I am in California and have a very expensive mining computer hosted in a mining farm in Nevada since 2023. The initial contract was for two years with auto renewal, with a 90-day termination notice for either side. From the beginning, my miner was frequently offline or operating below the capacity, and the host informed me that it needed repairs. It went to repairs two times over two years and the second time it was replaced by the manufacturer under warranty. But the new miner started experiencing malfunctions at the same rate. In 2025, the host sent the miner to their own repair shop and told me they were providing their spare computer for me to continue the mining. So, I am paying the same rate and receiving the cryptocurrency at the same rate. It operates at a massive loss - I am paying the host more than what I earn. Once at their repair shop in late 2025, my miner remained there. I've been suspecting fraud - I think they've been disassembling hosted computers for expensive parts and potentially redirecting some of the mined currency to their own wallets. In July, I sent them a 90-day notice to terminate. Under the contract, they are required to return the miner to me. However, I have not heard back from them. They don't pick up the phone. I suspect that they no longer have my miner in their possession. What do I do?

4-star review

I sold a print of my drawing of a superhero character. The print is literally shown on the photos in the listing. It's my creative manga-style rendition of a character from a motion picture based on a book (a book!!!). My drawing was based off the description from the book, not on the actor who played in the movie.

4-star review: doesn't look much like the character.

Should I politely thank the buyer for the review and leave it at that or should I not respond? I think it's not worth it to try and explain that a manga drawing of a book character is not intended to resemble an actor and the pictures were provided. Or should I?

P.S. I am not upset that it's 4 stars - that's quite ok. Just wondering if I should respond.

Premium navigation?

I got a message from Hyundai that my 3-year trial of premium navigation features is expiring. In the app, it's really difficult to say what's included, and they don't know the cost until I add my credit card - I don't want to do that. Would you all please share what the premium navigation is about? Will I lose the navigation function entirely or it's only some special features I might not even be using?

Yelled at by the manager

I'm curious what you would specifically do in my place. This is not a "volunteering sucks" or "FIFA sucks" post.

I was given a series of tasks and left completely alone for three hours in my first match shift. I thought I was doing alright. I was constantly busy helping people in my zone. After three hours, one of my managers suddenly comes from behind me and says I am not doing my job. That's literally what she said, you are not doing your job. She told me to follow her to our waiting room where she left me alone and nobody talked to me after that. An hour later my shift ended and I went home feeling awful.

There was no rocket science in what I was asked to do. My entire training for this task consisted of telling me to "keep people in this area safe." For context, I'm 45, a person who I hope people who know me would describe as resourceful and practical, good at solving problems. I don't think I'm an idiot. I thought I was doing fine and did not see anything unusual or bad happening while at my post. The manager didn't bother to explain herself.

What would you do?

Teslawatt

Anyone hosting their numbers at Teslawatt - I haven't been able to contact the host for a couple of weeks now and my miner is idle. Does anyone know if they are having issues?

Ignored by the organizers

Just sharing my experience in Los Angeles. I volunteered at the Club Cup last year and was invited to volunteer in the same function at the World Cup. Two of my managers are the same people as last year. I got my invitation in March, went to the general meeting in-person, saw an email in April asking me to verify my personal information, corrected the birthday and the expiration of my license, all that. When I went to pick up my accreditation and uniform on one of the first days the center opened in Culver City, they said that my accreditation was not ready but they now had all my information in the system corrected and it was a matter of time till I got the accreditation. That was May 10th. Last week, I went for the venue training and had to use a day pass. I talked to the volunteer managers and was told that either my accreditation would be ready by my first shift or my shift would be canceled. My first shift was supposed to be today. Nothing. No emails, no answers. I have had two support tickets open - every time they answer, they close the ticket even though the issue is not resolved. I asked my function manager. I asked in the chat in the app. No response from anyone. I just guessed that I was not even on the roster anymore because my function manager usually creates a chat for the current day and I was not invited. We discussed at the training how people in our group have an average commute of two hours to get to SoFi. Not even worth a simple yes or no or I don't know response from anyone whose literal job is managing volunteers. The whole talk about how they can't do it without us and how much they appreciate us is just a big talk.

Where is the schedule?

Hi everyone, I'm going to SDCC for the first time and I can't find any information about the schedule. I found two separate apps mentioned on the SDCC website: Comic-Con and Sched. The Comic-Con app doesn't recognize my memberID login, and Sched says no sessions have been published for CC26 yet. On the website I see the schedule for 2025 but nothing for 2026. Also, h haven't received any emails from SDCC since April when there was a hotel lottery. But I see people already discussing the lineup or so it seems?
P.S. Thank you all who replied and explained that it's normal. I appreciate you.

What is your attitude towards the law?

I am very curious about Mensans' attitudes on a scale from "I make my own rules" to "I am a law abiding citizen," and everything in between. If you have ever bent the law or found a way around it, did you feel ashamed or triumphant? Did you have to justify it to yourself? Hypothetical musings would also do.

Los Angeles Sofi parking for volunteers

My team has our venue training at Sofi this Saturday and we haven't received any instructions yet. I haven't been to Sofi before. Is there free parking there or nearby on the days there are no events? I don't want to drive there and find that I must pay $20 or more for parking.

I live in Orange County and the closest option to public transportation to SoFi for me is park & ride for about two hours, so I'd rather drive.

Mortally offended by a radiologist

I went for one of those ultrasounds where they asked me to drink 24 ounces of water and hold it. I fought for my life. I almost accepted the idea of just peeing my pants and walking home in shame. I almost cried. And then the radiologist wrote in the evaluation that "the exam was suboptimal due to the overlying bowel gas." How dare you, sir? First of all, I was hungry. Second, and I am just starting, are you saying I'm full of it? Are you saying I'm fat? The audacity. I bet you sir haven't had to hold 24 ounces in your bladder since your fraternity days.

Thank you for reading my story of bowel shaming. Have a nice day!

Tickets due the day of the concert

Today the band I wanted to see had the ticket sale on Ticketmaster, and the tickets were all gone under ten minutes. To resellers, evidently, because they immediately showed up on Stubhub. I caved in and bought Stubhub tickets while they were still reasonably priced. I noticed that there were no tickets immediately available for transfer, and the confirmation email says tickets are due the day of the concert. Be brutal with me - am I screwed? Am I going to find myself on the day of the concert without the tickets? To clarify, all tickets for this event on Stubhub were on these terms - no immediate transfer. Is it normal that on the first day of Ticketmaster sales the resellers on Stubhub sell tickets they don't yet have in hand?

Is it realistic to opt out of a class action and get compensated? Location: California.

I received an email about the Ticketmaster settlement in class action. I imagine there are millions of people in the impacted class, and we are going to get cents, maybe a few dollars, from the settlement. Call me naive, but I have a bone with Ticketmaster. I feel personally wronged by their business practices, their shady dealings with the resellers, their inability to stop bots who buy out all tickets, and all the harm they have caused the consumer like me. If you find it laughable, just humor me for a moment. Is it realistic to opt out of the class settlement and actually sue them on the same grounds? Location: California.

How do I tell a former friend I don't want to communicate with her anymore?

I (45F, straight) have known this woman (50F) for three years. We became fairly friendly. We always met in a group of other friends, with one exception when the two of us went for dinner in a restaurant. At the dinner, she invited me to spend a weekend in an airbnb together for her birthday. She is married, has teenage kids, and I also assumed that some of our shared friends were invited. I was supposed to have my own bedroom at the Airbnb. When I arrived, I found that it was just her and me, and that her family was coming the following evening - so she planned to spend about 24 hours alone with me. She brought a whole case of liquor and proceeded to get extremely drunk. She started telling me how her marriage is failing and how I am a special person for her, and she kept grabbing my hand. She asked me if I still had any feelings for my husband (presumably, she was curious because I've been married for nearly twenty years) and was visibly taken aback when I said that I very much still loved my husband. The situation was unbearably uncomfortable for me. We were several hours away from home and in the countryside, she said the gated community shuts the door for the night, I had a glass of wine and couldn't leave my car there and take a rideshare - I realized that I couldn't easily leave that night. I tried multiple times to tell her I was going to sleep but she kept asking me to stay. Honestly, as I write this, I myself feel how much it sounds like a date assault situation. Fortunately, it ended before things went any worse - I excused myself to bathroom, locked myself in the bedroom and eventually went to sleep. I heard her shuffle around the house and actually even fall, that's how drunk she was. I was so terrified. In the morning, I made some excuse and left, and on the way home I was thinking, she could have left the gas stove on, she could have done numerous dangerous things to harm me.

So, we are done and I have not communicated with her since then, for two months. I thought she understood and left me alone. But this week she sent an aggressive message to me saying that she is puzzled and honestly displeased with the lack of communication following our incomplete weekend away.

I want to be done with it. I don't think she deserves any apologies or empathy from me because of her behavior. I am not sorry. If she wants closure, I want to give her a very clear message that we are done and I am not her friend and firmly want her to stay away from me. I think back to how terrified I felt that night and wonder how I should word my message so that it precludes any aggressive followup from her.

What should I say?
