I am planning to buy meteor 350 supernova black tomorrow. This the price quotation by the showroom. Is this ok?

I am buying a meteor 350 in November. When I went on bike trip in north east with my friends(as a pillon), I enjoyed it thoroughly and wanted to buy a bike. I’ll start learning to ride after I buy the bike.

Today I was watching videos of bike accidents on youtube and came to know there were 17000 deaths on two wheelers in india in 2025.

After seeing how violent accidents are and these many deaths, I am having second thoughts about buying a bike.

Please help me clear my mind. And please give me some advice on how to be safe. I will use a good helmet and gloves every time I ride the bike, and also use a riding jacket and boots in long trips. What else can I do?

Want help about buying my first bike

Hi, I am 25 M. I have been asking my parents to buy me a bike for a long time. Finally they have agreed! 😁

I talked to my father and he wants me to buy a RE. In RE, under the 350cc segment, I personally like the meteor. Classic is also good. But I like honda cb 350 hness the most. But he doesn't want me to have the honda as honda service centre is 70-80 km from my home and since I am first time rider, it'll be a pain in the ass.

(My father probably has some hidden love for RE 🤭)

So, can you please suggest me what I should get?

Btw, I don't know how to ride a bike. I don't have anyone to lend me a bike to learn so I would have to learn it on the new bike. I read that new engine and other parts should not be messed with, otherwise they can get damaged permanently and decrease mileage. So if I am learning on my new bike what should I keep in mind?

And people say honda has no vibrations and has a very smooth engine. Since I haven’t ridden a bike ever I don’t really understand that statement. How much does vibrations affect the riding quality of a bike?

This is my first drop and have been studying for the past year. To tell the truth, I have slacked off on my studies and it shows in my results.

A similar question like this had its top comment saying "instead of asking such stupid questions, studying now is the only that matters." I understand that and am giving an honest effort. But the heart wants a bit of hope, sometimes maybe delusional hope.

So please, if you have stories of such "turn around"s in the previous years please let me know.
