Vitex trimming/pruning question

Typically, I would prune my vitex in around January or February, but I’m really trying to get more vertical growth. Would it be harmful to the tree to trim out undergrowth and the branches growing where I don’t want them, or should I patiently wait until next February?

Why don’t my pineapple guava bloom?

I have had a single bush for three years now. The last two springs I would get blossoms, but never any fruit. Does anyone know how to get them to fruit?

1/2” v 3/4” plywood for shop cabinets

I’m going to be building cabinets in my shop for the first time. Historically, I would use 3/4” ply for projects of this sort, and most plans I’ve seen online spec 3/4”. But, I was reading an article in the March issue of Wood, and they spec 1/2” for both base and uppers. Is 1/2” strong enough for cabinet carcasses? I’d still use 1/2” for the drawers. Thanks

Rio original release v 09 remaster

I’ve been trying to get an OG release on vinyl. I have an OG CD, but want an LP. Hold Back the Rain has always been my favorite DD track, really because of John’s bass. I find Rio unstreamable, just because of this. Hahaha. Anyone know why the 09 turned his bass way down, which is why you can’t buy a new LP if you like that old cut? And, are there other differences between original mix and 09 remaster?

Drying shallots

Can you cut the greens off of onions and shallots when they are drying? Also, how long do you all typically dry them before brining in to use? This ongoing argument with my father in law over cutting the greens off shallots and onions before they get a chance to dry. Does it make a difference?

Will these ripen?

My dad lives with me and he has this bad habit of picking vegetables before they’re ripe. We argue about it a lot. Isn’t it entirely too early to pick these tomatoes?

Where are the stickers?

I’m not a huge sticker user, but there’re a few that I really enjoy. Yesterday, I’m in Notability and want to use one of my favorites, and all I get are these stupid, really lame stickers. The app used to have tons of good ones. For free. Then they made you pay for them. Then you had to have the subscription (that for some reason I had to buy even though I had a “lifetime subscription” from back in like 2014-15), so I got the subscription (again), which included access to a bunch of cool stickers. Then Notability took many away. Now they’re back to this lame offering? Oh! But we’ll offer a rainbow pen! Or a whiteboard! Or some other weak feature that most business people or students don’t need. They don’t listen to us on bringing features back. They just march ahead like they’re United Airlines. Everyone hates em, but what else are ya gonna do? C’mon, Notability! Be a phoenix and rise to your former greatness!

Warranty Extension on big-ticket items

I’m putting an elevator in my house, and it’s going to st around $40k. Warranty is like two years ago will my Platinum card extend that warranty? I was going to pay cash, but when the bank screwed up the bill pay, I decided to eat the credit card surcharge and just use the Platinum card.

What the heck happened to my zucchini

I harvested on Friday morning, and everything was fine. I went out of town for the weekend, and I came back to this sad, anemic, and dying thing (with one ginormous zucchini waiting for me. I did not see any little holes on stalks, and the two adjacent plants seem fine. (Houston, Tx)

Growing unagi F1. They started out normal, long and rounded at both ends, now they’ll look like some kind of weird pepper.
