A quick fountain pen ink wash and watercolor pastel sketch while having drinks with friends. I try and bring a small fanny pack with everything I need for a quick sketch wherever I go so that I can get into a better habit of creating on the fly.
We just finished a renovation and I'm pretty happy with hour our record / listening area came out.
I still need to optimize the record storage below so that it's easier to browse the albums (open to suggestions) and will also be adding an LED strip to better illuminate the records when browsing.
My actual record setup is pretty basic but it works for me: Denon 300 deck (i love automatic turntables), grado red3 needle, AT-PEQ3 preamp, and some edifier speakers. will probably upgrade the preamp next.

did a quick sketch while waiting for my car yesterday- it was a beautiful day and I've been really trying to get into a more regular habit of creating- no matter how small. pretty happy with it considering i was standing for half of it.
I had my buddy Ian at Schon Design put this together for me. I've been pining over his titanium monoc nibs for quite a while and I'm a huge pocket six fan. I probably have about four of them at this point but this pen is unlike any other pen I've ever written with. It's stiff yet smooth, really flowy. The reverse is a super expressive perpendicular italic sort of profile.
I've got it inked up with Noodler's Liberty's Elysium right now and I have just been enjoying this pen so much that I've barely posted about it but thought I would share with you guys.

We've had our newest gecko, Olivia, for about a month. Our previous crestie, Gek, was not really a huge fan of insects but with Olivia, you can see a switch go off in her head when she sees these little worms and she just loves them. She just downed about four of them today. I haven't seen a lot of people use silkworms as feeders but from what I've read they seem to be a really nutritious, viable, and low-maintenance. I'm curious what everyone else thinks.
My wife and I had a quick overnight trip to Amagansett on Long Island to go see a music show and gladly remembered to bring my plein air set up. Before we headed back to the city I was able to get a really nice plein air beach session in. I love painting on the beach (even if the tripod ball head doesn't :D ) It's a fun challenge to work through the perspective of a long beach so I'm really happy with how it turned out.
