For those questioning the tour post..
The guy who posted that just did the same for Fontaines D.C., and it’s looking like it’s gonna be 100% accurate. It might be time, guys.

I stumbled across the instrumental for “What Should I Say,” and I gotta say, I understand why this song frustrates Matty. I remember reading that he said they thought this could’ve been their biggest song and truthfully, it COULD have. Listening to this instrumental and hearing all the little intricacies buried in the mix (specifically the second and third chorus) shows me how much potential this could’ve had if they gave it a little more time to come together.
After listening to this, I kinda think that the Twigs vocals in the chorus take away from it a bit. You probably cannot hear them without headphones, but the little synth lines in the chorus sound so good and I never noticed them in six years.
I feel like if they reworked the chorus, using live drums and maybe replacing Twigs and the bell sounds with some real instruments that wouldn’t dominate the mix (sax instead of Twigs?), this could go so much harder.
Thoughts?
I wasn’t exactly sure how to phrase the criteria without getting word salad-y, but I’m basically saying that if you exclude Disney, Universal, etc., what is the best entertainment you’ve seen at a park? Regional parks, Six Flags/Cedar Fair, etc.
What should we expect?
Not to be a downer, because we have had some great stuff, but I feel like the amount of “great” albums we’ve had thus far has been a lot lower than other years? Is it just me?
I know this sub gets bombarded with new “information” daily, but I actually do believe we have something to look forward to this June 1.
The 1975 YouTube channel posted a new short the other day, photoshoots of Matty have popped up, and the Doomscroll podcast has been posting old clips of Matty from his episode well over a year ago (something they don’t normally do).
With the least amount of copium I’ve had since 2022, I think it’s finally coming.
