Advice on art and if it disrespects anyone’s culture

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I’m an artist (in free time) and am currently working on designing some models of Orcs for the North for a video game project. I am working on making some art for facial paint, and would like to confirm that this art isn’t disrespecting anyone’s culture. It is tattoo art, meant to be sort of tribal-like, and is a work in progress so it can be changed as needed.

Shopping list ideas?

Hi everyone,

I am a new student here at AU (Fall 2026) and was looking through the packing list. Are there any really good products anyone would reccomend I get? (EX: [Name of Company] for lamps, [Name of Company] for laptops, etc).

Best,

Akshay

Proposal for a show

How much do you think Mojang would pay for this to replace the Minecraft Movie sequel? (everything here is copyrighted to my brand, Scripts, which I - Akshay Pertab- am the founder of and am considering growing)

ALEX (Narrating): Not many live now, who remember what the world once was.

Clips are shown of the modern Overworld.

ALEX: All they can see. . .

We see suffering; crops dying, villagers struggling, players fighting off undead mobs (skeletons) and being shot so that they fall off a cliff into an abyss.

ALEX: Is darkness.

We see night coming, and hostile mobs beginning to spawn.

ALEX: But before everything. . .

We see a shift across the water, meant to show location moving.

ALEX: There was LIGHT.

We see Silveria’s shores, pristine coastlines filled with technologically-advanced housing. Huge coastal cities line the region, with beauties like coral embedded into the sides to form amazing architecture. Everyone here is a player, like Alex.

ALEX: Even then, though, I had questions.

Alex looks to Lyris - a player who, unlike her, has bright green hair laid back in a ponytail and carries a sword. This is another day though, as her friend looks battle-hardened. Lyris, Alex, and a group of both male and female players (in total, around six people) are gathered around a table, with Alex clearly the youngest.

ALEX: Have you heard about Greifus? I heard he burned down someone’s house, and fled across the sea! Everyone was furious-

Lyris stands up, along with the rest of her friends. They are clearly upset.

LYRIS: NEVER speak of him! He brings nothing but suffering! He will ruin this world.

ALEX: What could he possibly do? He’s only ONE player. ONE! He doesn’t even have an army!

At this, all her friends exchange worried looks.

ALEX, concerned: He DOESN’T have an army. . .right?

LYRIS, her expression now grave: There are rumors.

ALEX: Rumors of what?

MIKE: Of corruption. Of people being twisted -

LYRIS: ENOUGH!

Mike and Alex both move back in shock.

LYRIS, now kinder: She is too young. [To Alex] You can stay here for now. That’s what we warriors are for. Someday, we can go to this. . .Overworld. It’s where Greifus might be hiding. Don’t worry, little one.

ALEX, narrating: My friends, I learned, were too right. Greifus had gone beyond the status of any mere player. He claimed lordship over the world. And as they suspected. . .he fled to the Overworld across the sea, but not after destroying all he could before.

Alex and her friends, along with others, look in horror at a once-proud city, the capital of their land, being completely ruined. It’s clearly been exploded with TNT, and lava spews out of the ruins, turning it into a massive crater. The lights of the city are destroyed. The banner of Greifus- a burning sword - is planted over the remains of what was once a great tower.

ALEX: So when the time came to fight. . .

We see Lyris, Mike, and the rest of Alex’s friends putting on armor alongside a great force of players, all adorned with weapons. Alex boards a seperate boat, as her friends wave back from theirs.

ALEX: We answered the call.

Lyris and the rest of Alex’s friends are shown leading a group of players against a group of Greifus’s forces, all with his banner. The host they face contains some drowned, skeletons, and husks, but the core backbone of his forces are illagers.

LYRIS: Keep fighting! They will die, by the light of the Creator!

In vain, we see Lyris and her friends and comrades- mainly players, along with some villagers now- desperately fighting, shooting arrows and hacking at foes. Though, we see players and villagers falling, many shot with arrows, as the illager forces push them back further and further into what we see is the center of the valley; various airships bearing Greifus’s flag are shown bombarding the battlefield with TNT, killing both Greifus’s enemies and several legions of illager troops.

ALEX: In the end, Greifus was finally vanquished.

We see droplets of water falling during another battle, this time near the coasts, and Greifus- leading this attack himself - looks up in surprise.

ALEX: Yet the cost of our victory. . .was little better than a defeat.

We see the droplets of water intensifying, and growing in size as they glow, along with the waves. The water now rises up higher, smashing through Greifus’s fleet. . .and smashing down further on the coastline, seemingly guided by a divine force. In an instant, whole camps Greifus established are destroyed, but the land begins to tear until a whole chunk of the Overworld is submerged. Greifus’s forces flee, and he tries to escape. . .but stumbles, and is swept underwater by the waves, which are now capsizing many boats for both his own forces and his enemies. He is shown screaming as the very sea life surround him, with glow squid pulling him under and his drowned allies being shot down by his enemies; he is clearly gone, and in a snapshot is shown screaming as he - still soaking wet - is imprisoned on an island in the Void.

ALEX: His undead forces had returned to their old ways, mindless once more, but his illagers had spread across the Overworld.

We see pillager outposts forming, while illagers are shown marching into a woodland forest and forming a mansion.

ALEX: They multiplied more than we could count, growing ever stronger under his most devoted servant. A powerful enchanter, who aimed to reestablish himself as the Overworld’s new ruler. Few spoke of him. But those who did knew him by one name. . .

Music intensifies, as we see the shadow of a figure with a crown and trident in one hand, the other hand with a sword. Illagers surround him, but they are clearly in fear.

ALEX: Valkorian.

ALEX: My friends took an oath to vanquish him for good.

ALEX (talking with her friends, underneath a forest. This is home to a rudimentary camp of theirs, which based on the banners nearby, is housing troops who had previously fought Greifus’s armies. Alex herself is armored, and is battle-hardened, a bit more tempered than before): I should join you for this. I have experience.

LYRIS: No, Alex. This isn’t safe -

ALEX: Not safe? I’m the bane of Illagers! Haven’t you heard? In the last battle, I took down a whole legion (she is growing a bit eager. . .too eager for someone who just fought a whole battle)-

We see Mike and Lyris both looking at each other in concern, hearing their friend talk a bit too eager about death.

MIKE: Lyris is right, Alex. You aren’t the bane of illagers. You’re our friend. And as our friend, you need to sit this out.

ALEX: But I can fight -

LYRIS (sternly): This is over, Alex. You aren’t coming. It’s settled.

She sees Alex is disappointed.

LYRIS: Hey. Look at me, Alex. We’re coming back. And when we do, we’ll tell you all about how we defeated Valkorian. In the meantime, wait here for us, alright? We’ll be back soon.

She smiles, along with Mike and the others, who say their goodbyes and set out. Alex looks at them, both with worry and fear.

ALEX: As always, they were right. They did come back.

We see Alex stepping out of a house, as shouts are heard and horses are shown galloping.

ALEX: Just not how I wanted.

We see Lyris, Mike, and the rest of her friends in a forest. Vines shoot up, and Lyris and Mike both draw their swords- cutting the vines, they watch the vines reform into Valkorian’s banner, which has a crossed sword and trident on it. In fear, they turn around- but too late, as we see a shadow and a trident flying through the air. Enchanted, it strikes Lyris, who is chained and pierced. Mike steps up to fight and protect the rest- but a flurry of spears shoot forth, killing him and he and the others fall, one by one, as Valkorian (we see his shadow) steps over them and puts his banner atop their bodies- a trident and sword crossed.

Now, in the present, riders are shown carrying the bodies of Lyris, Mike, and the rest of Alex’s friends- all of whom are clearly dead. They carry them inside a house, as we see Alex crumpling to the ground in grief and shock.

Alex, in tears, is shown looking at her former friends who are now resting on long wooden boards.

ALEX: And that night. . .

Alex goes around each one of her friends, collecting their weapons. She looks at Lyris, her oldest friend, and pulls the sword from her friend’s sheath, looking at the blade.

ALEX: Their oath became mine.

Timestamp: 1000 years later.

The Islands of Darkness, in the North Sea.

We see Alex, now leading a company of around 20 players, sailing on a ship towards the main island. A captain, Dragnor, comes up to speak with her.

DRAGNOR: Commander Alex. The crew is. . .concerned.

ALEX: Concerned?

DRAGNOR: It has been centuries since the fall of Greifus. His undead troops are scaterred and returned to what they once were. The villagers who served him willingly are under oversight. Nobody has seen illager war parties for generations. Is it possible. . .that our enemy is no longer a concern?

ALEX: Valkorian is still out there -

DRAGNOR: Valkorian is dead. He must be -

ALEX (coldly): We’ll talk later. Let’s search. This is where scouts last spotted ships with Greifus’s banner

DRAGNOR: Scouts from old logs, written ages ago -

At this point, thunder cracks, and we see the outline of a tower. As our characters sail closer, we see it’s ancient, once made of stone now infested with moss. The entire tower looks ruined.

Alex, along with Dragnor and other troops, make their way inside.

DRAGNOR (searching): Commander Alex -

ALEX: I see it.

We see what our characters are looking at. Massive enchanting tables, with drop piles of illagers all around them. Cells line the walls, with illager drop piles inside them as well. A drop of rain falls through the ceiling, hitting a magma vein that glows.

ALEX (pulling out a flask of water, she drops it on the magma, revealing it forms an old pattern- the trident and sword, both crossed again): Valkorian. He was here.

From behind Alex, we see Dragnor twitching, along with the rest of Alex’s forces. She doesn’t see this, but they seem. . .different.

DRAGNOR (drawing his sword): He is everywhere.

Alex turns around, hearing him drawing the sword.

ALEX: Dragnor? What -

We see the magma structure glowing again, and as it glows orange, a similar light glows in Dragnor’s eyes as he and the rest of Alex’s company draw their weapons. Alex draws her weapons; she sees something is clearly wrong.

ALEX: Dragnor. Lay down your weapons. This isn’t you -

DRAGNOR: There is no more Dragnor. There is only Valkorian. There is only one true ruler of the Overworld (He rushes at Alex, who draws two swords; running alongside the side of the wall, she cuts his sword in half but he pulls out a spear. Her company encircles her, charging but she knocks them back into walls. Dragnor spins his spear, deflecting all her blows- but suddenly, as she moves to cut his spear, his eyes return to normal along with the rest of her company; and they collapse to the ground, disappearing as they die and leave behind drop piles. The symbol of Valkorian glows again, as she looks at her fallen comrades in horror.
