Is the corporate workplace getting less competitive?
This may just be my personal experience, but in recent years I’ve seen a lot of highly respected and highly intelligent people retire, and the people who replace them have nowhere near the level of competence that is required for the job.
Are companies failing by not having succession plans in place or is the new generation of management just less capable? It’s frustrating to see how many high paying roles are filled by people who aren’t even close to qualified.
Ticket Custody Question
Asking in hopes that SeatGeek can provide an answer. Would it not be a better business model to take custody of tickets when sellers post them for sale, then SeatGeek handles the transaction and transfers tickets to the buyer instantly? Seems like that would solve a lot of the anxiety around using your service. And the only answers I can think of why you wouldn’t practice this already is to cater to the online resellers.
To be clear, I’ve used SeatGeek without any problems twice now. But both times were nerve racking waiting for tickets to get delivered last minute. When I’m spending money on travel and hotels to get to the event, this rinky dink bullshit waiting for tickets to be transferred is just not right. I spent $1500 on my tickets. I want them now. If the same tickets were available on TicketMaster I would go that route ten times over before considering SeatGeek.
Casino Rama
Does anyone have an update on craps at Rama? I see some old posts saying they took out the live table but still had a roll to win table. I can settle for roll to win but I’ll be disappointed if all they have is bubble.
Craps Lesson at Planet Hollywood
I stayed at Planet Hollywood in Vegas this week. My wife was watching me play the stadium crapless craps the day before and she decided she wanted to learn the game.
I buy in for $200 and she buys in for $40. It’s a $5 min. At this point she understands passline and odds, as well as the hard ways and bonus. So she gets the dice for the first time in her life. She went for 38 rolls, missed the ATS by one, only needed aces. She hit the 3, 11 and 12 an absolutely absurd amount of times and After that marathon I was up $1260 and she was up $340.
I never expected my wife to take such an interest, but after that, to my delight we spent the rest of our trip hopping around the strip and downtown playing tables and stadium craps.
On the other side, not craps related, but my wife got me hooked on battleship at the cosmo. Lol. I spent quite a bit of time playing that.
