Abortion pills didn’t work.. still pregnant, what do I do?
I’m 34 years old currently in a state that doesn’t allow abortions. I had to get the pills from another state. At 8 weeks, I took both pills. After the second pill, I bled an hour later and had the most awful debilitating pain of my life. I went to the ER and cried my eyes out. Little clots were coming out. After a transvaginal ultrasound, they said the fetus looked great and had a strong heartbeat and they think I had a ruptured ovarian cyst causing the pain and bleeding. They did a pelvic exam and said my cervix was closed so the clots couldn’t have come from the fetus.
I didn’t feel safe telling them I took the pills incase they reported that. Because I knew I was aborting the fetus, I was taking medicine I wasn’t supposed to (advils, herbal supplements, etc). I can’t ask for the abortion medical procedure in this state so what do I do?
The next day I have zero cramping and light bleeding and no more clots.
Do I wait a few days and see if the fetus will be ejected out of me? If I continue the pregnancy, will my baby have birth defects? I’m terrified of that. Has anyone else had a failed abortion that led to a healthy child?
Cat rescue offers two years of free vet/medical care to help get cats adopted
I’m sharing this from their social media page, NOT MY WORDS.
Just to note, it will NOT cover preventative medicine and the cats can only be seen at Crestline Pet Care (so if the cat goes to the ER or a different clinic it won’t be covered by the rescue).

RESCUE: Katdadde Inc.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave honest feedback on our recent post. Time and time again the issue that has come up is the cost of veterinary care.
Being a small rescue, adoptions are a huge part of what we do, and the majority of our cats come to us with medical needs. Because of our supporters, I’ve been able to medically taken care of them, get them spayed/neutered, and vaccinated in hopes of getting them adopted. If we’re missing any piece of that, I run into the problem we have now. Too many cats are coming in, not enough cats are leaving, which means I’m not able to continue rescuing cats. If I’m not out there rescuing cats then I’m just a sanctuary and that’s not what I set out to do. This is the reason the rescue is currently on an intake hold.
In order to try to eliminate this barrier, and because of our relationship with Crestline Pet Care, the rescue will cover veterinary care and medical expenses for the first two years after adoption for every cat adopted from our rescue. The only expenses we won’t be able to cover are routine preventative medications, like flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and dewormers. Hopefully this will solve two issues, it will attract adopters who are concerned about high vet bills, and it will get cats into their forever homes so that it allows us to continue rescuing the ones that need my help.
Our goal is to find good homes for our cats, so the vetting process will not change and there will still be an adoption fee ($135). If you or someone you know has wanted a cat and hesitated due to the high vet costs, the application link is in our bio. https://linktr.ee/katdadde
Mobile gelato/speciality drinks carts for small event?
I’m looking for a gelato cart that will come to a grand opening event in Royal Oak and set up inside and be there for 2ish hours. So far, I’ve been quoted 600+ for about 50 people.
I’m also looking for a speciality cart that may have like matcha, a refresher, and some other fancy drinks too. The ones I found are too far.
Can anyone suggest a few?
Help getting this 7 month cat adopted?
Sora is 7 months old. She was pulled by a rescue 30 mins before she was about to be euthanized when she was about a month old. While she is a normal cat who is physically able to do all cat things (run, jump, play), she is incontinent which means she needs to be manually expressed to use the bathroom. This is something that takes a few extra minutes a day and several pee pads.
She’s an incredible love bug, LOVES being held, you can probably carry her all day and she’ll just purr and nuzzle into your neck. We’ve shared her info on social media, passed out flyers everywhere. No luck. just wanted to share here incase someone was interested.
If you are considering this but thinking “idk how to express a cat”, no worries! i didn’t know either. the rescue director was confused as well but he learned it quick and he’d be happy to show you until you’re comfortable. She is spayed and vaccinated.
Sora would need someone who can be home throughout the day as she would need to be expressed about 4 times a day (you can leave her home for hours in between). If you can help circulate this and share this, there might be hope to get Sora out of her crate and the right home.
If you’re interested, the info is on the flyer on how to apply.
Unique/creative and safe places to hold a pop up cat adoption event?
the rescue has tried coffee shops, farmers market, pet stores, yoga at the library.
as summer is coming, they’ll need cooler spaces that allow cats inside, any ideas?
also, if you’re here, adoptions have been really low. any creative ways to help get cats adopted?
