(PSA) If you like me are experiencing crashes with Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the latest Proton version. Use Proton 11.0 (Beta) and report it to Valve please.
A recent Proton experimental update is causing Halo TMCC to crash randomly reverting back to Proton 11.0 (Beta) fixed this issue for me.
This is similar to this Reddit post.
Please report to Valve on the Proton issue tracker on Github.
Thank you

Any steam controller (2026) users experiencing a buggy experience on Linux? (Fedora KDE)
Ive had mulitple issues with using the steam controller
- Unable to update firmware on the puck and controller from the steam client (i had to update it using my steam deck)
- Rebinding the R4,R5,L4,L5 within the steam ui seems to not do anything only after closing and opening steam again did it show my rebinds
- KDE always prompts me to give the remote control permission whenever i restart steam otherwise the mouse doesnt work.
Not sure where to file these bug reports it feels like valve only tested their controller with SteamOS and not any other distro.

Linux specific patch notes
- Are you a Linux user? If so, are you sick of that lovely modal we made to tell you that there’s an update you need to go manually install? IF SO, boy do I have good news for you. We’ve ported our Rust-based updater to Linux, allowing Linux to update itself just like on Windows. Additionally, we now support .rpm and .pkg.tar.zst package formats for installation.
- Fixed a bug on Desktop where the window control buttons in the title bar had extra padding on the right on Linux. Our second monthly Linux fix; good job team.
