I turned the stand, the nib, the brush, and the razor handle (not shown). And I'm trying to figure out what kind of finish to use on this. The stand isn't assembled yet. It's just balancing there. I could throw the button top and the bottom part on the lathe and use CA but I have no idea how to do that with the cross piece.
I think I'm ready to graduate to kitless pen making. Can anyone point me in the right direction for parts? I'd like to stick with wood and the problem I'm having is finding the parts where the feed screws into and of course the mate for the cap.

I'm looking to turn a couple of shaving soap cups. What's the best finish for the inside? I'm concerned because it'll stay wet for extended periods of time.
It's been over forty years since I've shot federal ammo. I stopped because their .22 ammo dirtied my Marlin 60 horribly.
Well, yesterday at the range we go to once a year, federal was my only option. 9mm 147 grain. Only ran about 150 rounds through my HK USP and the filth is unbelievable. Is this normal or did I just get a bad batch (again)?

Is there a way to automatically disable the touchpad when my mouse is connected? I have lazy thumbs that constantly touch it when I'm typing. This makes for interesting reading if I don't double check what I'm typing.
As I rotate the pen while I write, there is a spot that just stops writing. Is there a way to polish the nib to get it flowing? Otherwise I lose the ink in about a 20 degree arc. (It's a majohn nib in a teak holder.)
Is there a way to adjust my monitor (Asus tuf F16 laptop) to make colors more accurate? To be specific, I buy fountain pen ink and have been shocked at the variance between the screen and actual colors.
Are there any real advantages of one over the other? Everything I could find says it's a personal preference. I'm looking for more of a mechanical advantage.

I can boot to the previous version, so I still have a computer, I was just wondering if this is fixable?
While not an entire noob, I'm also not terribly knowledgeable when it comes to linux.
I'm running Zorin 6.17.0-29 on an ASUS TUF F16

Everything works fine until I go to shut down, then it freezes on the Asus screen. This also happens when I attempt a restart.
This doesn't happen when I boot to 6.17.0-23.
Any advice?
