Old Gretsch Guitar Update
1964 Gretsch Corvette restored to working condition and modified with a roller bridge with a towner string tension bar.
Burns Vibrato strings won't go back
Hello, I just got my guitar back from a restoration for playability. When I use the tremolo arm the strings and arm won't go back to rest position. Would a roller bridge solve my problem or is there some other issue. Thank you
Old Gretsch Guitar
I'm currently having this guitar restored to working condition. I know it's a Gretsch Corvette. Unsure of the year, I believe it's 1964 or later because of headstock. The serial number is hard to read on the headstock. The bridge that came with the guitar fits the pegs but is not the original nor a rolling bridge. I'm trying to find a string retainer which seems impossible. The only ones I can find are for floyd rose tremolo at the headstock, nothing for between bridge and tremolo of a vintage guitar. Will the one for a floyd rose work behind a bridge? Do I need a rolling bridge to use the tremolo or will I have tuning issues? Thank you in advance.
