Are there any philosophies whose main goal is achieving a kind of perfected state of being?

I mean philosophies that don’t just talk about being a perfect human being(as much is humanly possible), but actually aim at things like self-mastery and also provide a path for attaining it.

How do people actually perform their Eid's obligation in Qatar?

Salam, I am new to Qatar and wanted to ask how do people usually sacrifice animals here for Eid, do I just go to one of the slaughterhouse and just choose an animal, and they will sacrifice it for me on the day of eid and I can collect the meat, can I bring it to my home, do I have to purchase on the last day before eid, any other advices, this is my first time and I really wish to perform the sacrifice
