They brought back the Soul!

Posting here. Because r/bleach is karmagating.

You cannot tell me the 13 yo inside of you didn't revive when Number One started playing, and it was our beloved Soul Sister hyping up Ichigo.

That brought me back to binging episodes after school. Absolute perfection.

[Spoilers] Got kicked out of the immersion a bit

So I reached episode 17, and I sadly got knocked out for a second.

The text below contains spoilers for multiple episodes, from early all the way to 17.

In the early episodes, when Right and Left keep saying they are made of stone while shrugging off stuff like 9mm bullets, I assumed "oh, tough, if not tougher than stone, because that kind of caliber won't hurt them."

Then we get to the Tenaga and Ashinaga fight, where Dera first hits them with a 9mm, doing nothing, and later blasts them with a rifle cartridge, which I'm assuming is .308 or similar. So higher calibres can damage them, good to know.

Then we come to the Daemon Katana fight. Left gets her Arm cut off cleanly and.. that just really takes me out. Even if you wanna yada yada this by saying magic sword, it really does bother me a bit when 9mm bullet fire didn't "chip" them at all. It's an absolutely ridiculous thing to get worked up about, but genuinely up until then, I felt perfectly fine with the anime. This is just a minor thing that completely threw me off

Thank you for bearing with my autism.

The patching is inefficient

This is just a small gripe, but we got 2 patches in a row recently, each bigger than 2 GB. I've looked up down the history of patchworks, and that seems to be a bit of a history with this game.

I'd really appreciate it if they'd have a round of optimisation, to reduce the density of the game, which would most likely help with the abysmal load issues the game has. They claim minimum 16 GB ram and 1060 GB card. I have twice the amount of vram on my card, and while my ram is 16, I always made it work without any issues.

PC components are crazy rn, and I don't wanna dish out a small housing loan for ram sticks just to play the game without stutters.

Sudden lag spikes/stutters

New player, loving the game, except for lag spikes, that I can't seem to fix.

Running a 3060ti, 16gb ram, ryzen 7 x3700.

There is a little lag when generating the world the first time, as well as randomly throughout gameplay, it would twitch out every now and then. it's not game breaking, just getting a little annoying. Any advice? Also, I'm not super into optimising games, so treat me like a moron when explaining the steps please.

Noob question - durability/crafting talents

Are they a noob trap? Just bought the game and reached tier 2 Iron tools, and since I now need to walk all the way back to my anvil to repair, I wanted to ask, is anyone using durabiltiy or cheaper crafting talents?

In tier one, sure your gear breaks faster, but repair is easy and cheap. Meanwhile iron is on high demand rn for me, so curious to know if anyone got tired of the durability and ended up using those talents to compensate.

Also, does workshop gear require repair after missions?

Need to know if this ring is possible to make

I found out that my SO wants a ring similar to the generated image.

She wants the shank to sweep and hug around the center stone, with ruby accents, preferably blue.

Is this reasonablene?

I'd appreciate any redesigns, her taste is simple and reasonably moderate. She's also not a fan of gemstones crowning out very tall.

I was never 100% of the childfree mindset. Very much take it or leave it with me. My SO doesn't want any and I am perfectly happy spending all the money that would've gone into kids on vanity, vacation and future wealth. Today, I might have been pushed a good chunk towards the childfree mindset.

What I actually came to rant about was AI slop and how children can't seem to get enough of it. We are at a mothers day celebration, and I went indoors to go to the bathroom. On the way there I passed the living room, where 4 children are just on their phones, watching various AI garbage content. "Whatever" I initially thought. I grew up on crappy cartoons and early internet content. They're probably just in that same phase. By all that's holy, was I changing my mind. The bathroom was occupied, and in the 5 or so minutes of waiting, I couldn't help but suffer hearing the same 5 shorts replayed over and over. Absolute braindead content, from the Italian AI generated brainrot creatures to an AI voice describing anime episodes, it as non stop soul sucking trash. The worst part? The kids didn't even react. Just sitting there. Dopamine receptors of an 88 year old heroin addict, looking for something to scratch that itch.

I was absolutely flabbergasted. Never could I have believed that I'd turn into a "Back in my day" kinda guy, but back in my day, our parents made sure to drag us out of our unhealthy dopamine cycles every now and then to breathe.

I have no idea how parents manage. Most of them most certainly have just given up at this point. I cannot imagine finding a way to keep kids away from screens without getting bullied for not knowing the latest garbage content everyone in school cares about.

Anyway. I just needed to get this off my chest before I ruin the Mothers day dinner.
