Gwynevere (Dark Souls) & Pirotess (Record of Lodoss) sliders

Some people requested sliders for them and these were my quick attempts, which could serve as a starting point for others who are interested. They're kinda buried in the comments of their original posts, so I figured I'll share them here to find them more easily.

Gwynevere

  • Base head chosen makes her look more Asian, but it gives softer features
  • Since we can't change lower lip thickness and width by itself, I can't get her "short" lips from her official look.
  • Some of the makeup is necessary to lower some of the skin blemishes and make her closer to the real dealm, especially the body tattoo on her face
  • Careful with the mouth corners. Bringing it too high can cause her to look really uncanny when having different expressions, so I stopped at 35

Pirotess

  • Making her is fighting between realistic and anime style, so compromises needs to be made and accepted when doing so.
  • I opted to adapt her into the realistic style and tried to capture her "overall feel."
  • Ears cannot be longer than this unfortunately, so they cannot match Pirotess' length.

Woodland Wordsmith pawn about Gwyfencha/Scalecinder

I love how they're so eager to translate in this quest (The Ailing Arborheart) and how cute they are while doing it! I always bring a WW pawn when doing it for that reason.

It do be like that sometimes

Been playing Warframe and DD2 exclusively for years now, and with the expansion coming, I don't see that changing.

Dullahan 5.0 teaser: Mystic Spearhand Maneuvers

Teaser for Dullahan 5.0, which will make major changes to the mod, add new skills (Arisen-only), and introduce new core skills specialization (Arisen-only). The video shows a few things.

  • Forbeding Bolt Rework (already in Dullahan 4.x)
    • First charge level is almost instant, allowing for very fast Quik Fot chains. It also deals some damage, and is affected by elemental enchantment. It no longer freezes\slows down or stagger the foe nor does it allow Scatering Bolt.
    • Second charge level can freeze\slow down and stagger like in vanilla, but also charges quicker. The freeze\slow duration is reduced to balance this a bit.
  • Leaping Strike
    • Holding the attack\skill button while airborne, and hitting an enemy with light\heavy attack, or Dragoun's Foin\Skiedragoun's Feste, jumps off with i-frames.
    • You deal less damage with such strikes, but it allows evasive maneuvers and/or air combos.
  • Vortex Segil Specialization Core Skill (new in Dullahan 5.0)
    • Scatering Bolt no longer freezes targets in a radius. Instead, radius of the AoE is slightly increased, but it only freezes the main target, and pulls everything else in.

Core skills specialization details

  • Acquired at Vocation Guild like a regular skill, costing DCP and having its own description
  • All vocation will have 2 new core skills with different focus, allowing the player to choose the one that fits their playstyle more
  • For example, MS gets Vortex Segil (shown above) and Scatering Segil (second charge level is faster than Vortex, and Scatering Bolt behaves like in vanilla by freezing in its AoE, but at a shorter duration)
  • You have to choose one or the other, not both. However, you can pay DCP again to change the specialization at any time in a vocation guild, so you're never locked to one choice

Content updates on our mods will be on a hard paused when 2 Dark 2 Arisen comes out so we can enjoy the DLC, but we'll come back to them after! We'll adapt to the new content, as they will likely render some features obsolete with the EX skills, but also offer us even more options to integrate into our mods in the future.

For now, let's continue to celebrate on our road to Norgan, Arisen!

The Arisen has numerous expressions you never see in cutscenes

I like that sometimes, they're fully animated even if you don't see them. Thanks to PC modding with free cam however, you can catch glimpses here and there, which is quite fun to find out.

Environment verticality as a combat tool

Little tip for those who may not know, if you fall from a certain height\velocity (can be amplified with a sprint jump), there's several attacks that will always force a stagger if you land it right, on some of the big enemies (easiest to do against Cyclops and Ogres). It doesn't even need to be very high as some slopes will do.

You can trigger the above even with an unupgraded Trusty Sword, or even if the enemy has stagger received set to 0 with mods. It's especially easy to trigger with warrior.

Note: If you're wondering how I move so fast, have a mage with Celerity + equip Dynamism augment. The speed buff can be quite impressive!

Seeing a lot more pawn-for-hire posts lately and it warms my heart

I have a habit of bookmarking PC pawns on here and give them at least 1 hire when I can, especially for badge completions. However, lately I'm having trouble keeping up with them all because there's a noticeable surge in activity, and not enough time to play and hire them.

The announcement of the expansion along with the patches, and the base game discount, really did well to revitalize the subreddit. It's been really nice and fun to see that happen.

Tidal Wrath, my beloved

Since your guard doesn't great broken on stamina depletion, I love using it against multi-hit attacks like the Dragon's fire machine gun.
