Ive never had a steering wheel cover before. And I was pretty happy with the feel of the standard wheel of my 2020 6GT. But I saw a post here about peeling of the Mazda surface and thought a cover might be a good idea. I am so happy with these I just wanted to share. I am not affiliated with the seller in any way!

I feel the major appeal is the subtle added thickness for the grip. Im 6'2" with average hand size. The added thickness feels just enough to be more like a sports car wheel now. I just did a 45 minute drive on winding roads and I actually felt like I was more actively steering the car. Sure, its psychological, but it was a fun sensation.

The cover comes in three snap-on pieces that cover the primary hand locations and 90% of the wheel. The pieces are light weight. The inside looks like carbon fiber. The exterior is a lightly padded (not squishy!), non-slip high quality feeling leather(ette?). I like the feel as much if not more than the oem wheel cover! It has a kind of continuity to the late model Mazda interiors. But it is not for the D-type steering wheel of the newer screen-centric knobless controls.

I started placement centering the top piece. Its pretty intuitive. They fit very tight on the wheel and wont slip at all. Putting on all three took about 3 minutes. No tools required, but I did pry the edges out a little in order to get them on. Once they are on they seem almost integrated, not just a cover.

For $22 at the time of this writing I think these covers are an awesome upgrade. I havent been motivated to write about a product in a while, but I am so totally happy that I got these covers! If you want to add a little extra zoom-zoom to your Mazda, and protect the wheel finish, I think you may really like these.

I have a Firestick 4k (couple years old) hooked up by ARC hdmi to an old Sony TV. So the tv turns on with the firestick remote. When I walked by it getting up this morning it was off. Walked by it a couple hours later and it was on. I live alone.

Its a secondary tv that I use primarily for live sports while I cook. I have not used it in over a week. Its located in a room off the kitchen that I walk through frequently. The firestick is not connected for control by an echo dot I have on the other side of the house. I have not interacted with Alexa today.

It just kind of freaked me out that the tv came on by itself somehow. The tv is not a smart tv, so it must be related to the firestick. Would a forced update be the culprit?
