Completed this 21x28” piece…

Couple sessions, some ruin delving, hunting goblins in the north woods…

Kept a nice tight procedure loop with a few fun deviations as things developed naturally.

Had fun filling out this big ol sheet of butcher paper with a few solo sessions and sketching.

Thanks for looking, figured some of you might like to see the finished piece.

Solo Scroll #1…

A little solo hex and dungeon creepin’ on a relaxing Sunday.

Fort ruins exterior and interior taken and altered from an old Dyson Logos map.

Didn’t get super far into the dungeon with all the sketching but had fun using a taped out piece of butcher paper and just letting the ideas and events flow wherever they wanted to.

Might be fun to keep these rolled up somewhere and take them out to look at from time to time.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Of stirges and gnolls and bad surprise rolls

Just a little solo Moldvay dungeon crawling using standard rules as written for all main procedures.

Used the larger d20 tables to make smaller d6 tables for wandering monsters.

First party got devastated when they went to level 2 to try and get greedy. A pincer trap of lizardmen and gnolls forced them into a room with only a secret door out that they didn’t know was there.

Brave stand in the doorway with Laslo the halfling and Dayn the dwarf brawling shoulder to shoulder but all eventually fell.

Gnolls then turned on the wounded lizardmen and took all the treasure back to their spot.

Second party didn’t even make it past a few rooms of level one before 10 stirges took out the dwarf and a gnoll ambush did the cleric in.

Rough day in the dungeons!

Malice Rising - free 32 page dungeon crawler

Wanted to share a project I’ve been working on.

If you like combat heavy, procedurally generated dungeons, Diablo 1, etc this is for you.

This version is completely free and comes with the village, and PCs, quests both above and below ground, dungeon generator, encounters, treasure and more.

A lot more than a brief look, this is 32 pages that can keep a party busy for a good little while. I hope you enjoy it, the full version is coming soon and three more zines in the series.

Dungeon and Wilderness Stamps by Castle Grief are live!

Folks here have been really supportive of my work and maps and things.

I am pleased to finally be bringing these to a wider audience after two years of working on them -

Three sets of stamps, dungeon, Overland, and sci-fi.

Each stamp drawn by hand, then carved into rubber prototypes and finally converted to metal plate for the vulcanized rubber versions.

I won’t blow the sub up with any more until the very end (if at all) but I’m really excited about these.

We are working with a small company in the United States to produce them all, and all of the work and quality control is finished, so as soon as the campaign ends, everything will be ordered, and fulfillment will be extremely rapid.

I and my partners have made a name over the last couple years with the speed and overdelivery of our Kickstarter campaigns - this one will be no different.

Thanks for looking!!

Some index card art

Been a lot of fun playing Mörk Borg again with a small group from work separate from my main group.

Been running a campaign near the southern coastlands of Wastland, where a civil war has taken the military north and left the region in a lawless shape.

The PCs have joined then taken over a gang in the town of Rattenburg called the Plague, and are now operating their own criminal enterprise out of the Black Rat Tavern.
